David Miller smashed three consecutive sixes in the last over as Gujarat Titans registered a comprehensive 7-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2022 at The Eden Gardens on Tuesday.

Chasing a big 189-run target, Trent Boult removed Wriddhiman Saha in the first over. But Mathew Wade and Shubman Gill steadied Gujarat's ship with a counter-attacking 72-run stand. But a freak run-out incident ended Gill's promising 35 runs innings.

Earlier, Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson stitched a 68-run stand for the second wicket after the early dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Devdutt Padikkal scored at a brisk pace during his 28-run knock. Buttler got off to a slow start but made full use of two dropped catches and scored 89 runs in 56 balls. His first 39 runs came off 38 deliveries while the next 50 came off in just 18 balls, as Rajasthan posted 188-6.
