DC vs CSK TATA IPL 2023 Live Today: Where to Stream Delhi vs Chennai, Preview, Playing 11, Squads

MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings are only a victory away from securing a playoff berth and a win against Delhi Capitals on Saturday will ensure their place in the Top 4.

DC vs CSK TATA IPL 2023 Live Today: Where to Stream Delhi vs Chennai, Preview, Playing 11, Squads

In a crucial final league game, the determined Chennai Super Kings will aim to control their own destiny as they take on the already-eliminated Delhi Capitals.

While CSK currently holds the second spot on the points table with 15 points from 13 matches, a loss coupled with unfavourable results could potentially jeopardise their chances of advancing to the IPL playoffs.

A victory in this encounter would guarantee a playoff berth for CSK. However, whether they secure the second or third position will depend on the outcome of the Lucknow Super Giants' match against the Kolkata Knight Riders later in the day.

Currently, CSK hold a superior net run rate of +0.381 compared to LSG's +0.304, while both teams have accumulated 15 points.

The slow nature of the Feroz Shah Kotla pitch is expected to align with CSK's game plan. Furthermore, with Mahendra Singh Dhoni likely to play his final competitive match in the National Capital, he will look to capitalize on the conditions against a struggling Delhi Capitals side.

DC vs CSK Head-to-Head
The two sides have played each other 28 times over the years, with CSK winning 18 of them to Delhi’s 10.

Team news

Mitchell Marsh, who missed the last game for Delhi due to an injury, is unlikely to be risked for another dead rubber. So, Warner’s Capitals will probably field the same XI.

Chennai Super Kings too, despite their loss against KKR, probably won’t tinker with their lineup.

Delhi Weather Update

The Delhi-Chennai game will be played in scorching heat, with temperatures expected to hover around the 42-43 degree mark during Saturday afternoon
