A 7 wicket win gave Sunrisers Hyderabad something to celebrate as the team finally got points after 5 losses on the trot in the IPL. But their happiness was short-lived after the reporters bombarded coach Trevor Bayliss with questions regarding David Warner's absence from the dugout.

Bayliss confirmed that indeed Warner was dropped but the real shocker came when it was known that the former Sunrisers Captain & a pillar of the team was asked to stay back at the hotel.

Bayliss said, "We had a number of young players that have not even been to the ground - even as a reserve. So we wanted to give them the opportunity to come along and experience (it), and that may continue for a few more games yet. We do not know. We have got to sit down in a day or two and pick a team and pick a squad of 18. So that is just the way it is. Dave is obviously watching the game back in the hotel and giving the boys support.

The former England coach added, "This is the last year before the major final (auction) - those decisions will be made further down the line. I mean, he has been a great contributor to the Hyderabad Sunrisers for a number of years now. And he is very well-respected with the amount of runs he has scored, and I am sure he has got a lot more runs in him yet in the IPL."

The comments came after David Warner put up stories on Instagram cheering his side from the hotel. As fans asked about his well being, a comment from Warner sent the social media in a tizzy. Warner replied to a comment to indicate that he might not get to play another match for Sunrisers this season.
