Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, KKR would be hoping to have a superb IPL 2022 season given their captain is in a mind-wobbling form in International after his appointment for the top job.

In a re-match of the IPL 2021 final, KKR will lock horns with defending champions Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022 opener on March 26 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

KKR had a fantastic second half in the IPL 2021, leading them to the final. Venkatesh Iyer, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell were retained ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, and they have created a competitive IPL team around them.

Kolkata is expected to field a formidable Playing XI in almost every match as they have a good combination of Indian experienced cricketers and uncapped players along with foreign buys in Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins and Sam Billings.
