IPL 2022, LSG VS GT Preview: Lucknow Super Giants(LSG) and Gujarat Titans(GT), the 2 new teams of the Indian Premier League(IPL) will face each other in their blockbuster debut match of the 2022 IPL season on Monday at the Wankhede Stadium.

While the ex-Punjab star KL Rahul is set to lead Lucknow, Hardik Pandya who previously played for Mumbai is the captain for the Gujarat team.

Gujarat has their complete squad available except Alzarri Joseph. While Joseph will miss a few games due to his involvement in the Test series vs England. The team has roped in, Rahmanullah Gurbaz as Jason Roy's replacement and the Afghnistani is likely to find a place in GT's Playing XI.

On the other hand, with a powerful opening pair of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock, Lucknow boast of a comparatively stronger squad. However, they will have a lot of absentees in their opening match which includes de Kock. While pacer Mark Wood has been ruled out of the whole season with an elbow injury, Andrew Tye will replace him. Apart from Wood, Jason Holder, Marcus Stoinus and Kyle Mayers will also miss the first few games for Lucknow.

While in the face of Mohammad Shami, Lockie Ferguson, and Rashid Khan, Gujarat Titans have a strong bowling unit, Avesh Khan will spearhead Lucknow's attack. Both the new entrants who have an array of all-rounders will look to begin their season with a bang in the 15th edition of IPL.

LSG Probable Playing XI (probable): KL Rahul (C), Manan Vohra, Evin Lewis, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Krishnappa Gowtham, Dushmanta Chameera, Ankit Rajpoot, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi.

Gujarat Titans Playing XI (probable): Shubman Gill, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Abhinav Manohar, Hardik Pandya (C), Rahul Tewatia, Varun Aaron, Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson.

LSG VS GT Match timings

LSG VS GT live match will begin at 7:30 pm IST while the toss will take place 30 minutes before the scheduled start of play.
