IPL 2022 points table after Kolkata vs Rajasthan match on May 2; orange cap, purple cap holders

On the back of a stunning comeback, Kolkata Knight Riders reached the 7th spot in the IPL points table. The Shreyas Iyer-led side pushed Punjab Kings on the 8th spot. Before their 7 wicket win against Rajasthan Royals, KKR was on the 8th spot in the IPL points table. Their opponents Rajasthan Royals who registered 2nd consecutive loss, remain in the 3rd position on the points table.

Gujarat Titans remain on the top of the points table with 16 points, following them are Lucknow Super Giants on the 2nd spot with 7 wins from 10 games.

Jos Buttler who could only score 22 runs against Kolkata continues to be the leading run-scorer in IPL 2022 with 588 runs in 10 games and currently holding the orange cap. Rajasthan's Yuzvendra Chahal is currently holding the purple cap with 19 wickets in 9 matches.
