IPL 2022: RCB will need Virat Kohli's energy, says Faf du Plessis, RCB's new captain

After multiple trophies with Chennai Super Kings, Faf du Plessis is all set to lead the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming IPL season. du Plessis feels that the franchise will always need Virat Kohli's energy.

Stepping into the shoes of Virat Kohli, the South African cricketer who was bought by the franchise in the mega auctions said that although Kohli is not the skipper of the team, the energy he brings to the team is hugely important.

He also praised the former Indian skipper for bringing transformation to Indian cricket as well. du Plessis regarded Kohli for 'extremely strong leadership' making the Indian team 'a competitive fit Team that was fighting fire with fire as no Indian team ever did before'.
