IPL 2023, LSG vs CSK: Lucknow looking to bounce back after a heated game vs RCB

Lucknow Super Giants will get no time to recover from their heated game vs RCB but they will have to move on and shift focus on the next game at home as LSG take on CSK in first of the two games on Wednesday.

Lucknow's previous game against Chennai this season was a high-scoring thriller but going by the batting record at the Ekana stadium, expect another low scoring game.

CSK edged out LSG in that game but Lucknow are hurt after the loss vs RCB and are desperate for a win.

MS Dhoni's side will also fight to return to winning ways after losing their last game against Punjab despite scoring 200.

Ekana Stadium has by far been the lowest scoring ground in this year's IPL and the slow pitch is expected to once again favour the spinners.

TEAM NEWS

As a body blow to LSG, skipper KL Rahul is all set to miss the game vs CSK after he left the field vs RCB in immense pain in his thigh. Manan Vohra is likely to replace him in the playing XI.

Apart from that, Karan Sharma might get a go ahead in place of an out of form Deepak Hooda.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

In the two matches these sides have faced each other, both have won a game each. However, CSK beat LSG in the previous game this season.

LUCKNOW WEATHER FORECAST

Just like Monday, the met department has once again predicted some rain in Lucknow on Wednesday. However, it is unlikely to affect the game too much.
