IPL 2024: LSG vs DC preview - Form guide, head-to-head record, team changes, weather, probable XI

Lucknow Super Giants will take on Delhi Capitals in match 26 of the 17th edition of the IPL 2024 on Friday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana International Cricket Stadium, in Lucknow.

Super Giants have started the season with a bang. They have won the three matches and lost just one so far. Thus, the KL Rahul-led side would like to continue their winning momentum.

LSG has got most of the things correct for their side so far as most of their batters have contributed to the team at their respective positions. Speaking about their bowlers, Yash Thakur grabbed the first fifer of IPL 2024 in the previous game and got brilliant support from Krunal Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi.

Their only worry will be related to Mayank Yadav, who sustained an injury during his previous match for LSG against GT and the team management would not want to take any risk with his injury by playing him.

Delhi Capitals on the other hand are languishing at the bottom of the points table with 1 win from their 5 outings.

Rishabh Pant has scored a couple of fifties along with Prithvi Shaw and Tristan Stubbs showing good signs, other than that, they haven't got much support from their other players especially Anrich Nortje, who has conceded 215 runs in 16 overs he has bowled in IPL 2024 so far.

DC are likely to make a couple of changes in their squad from the previous game as James Fraser-McGurk can replace Jhye Richardson to provide much-needed stability batting and Lizzard Williams can replace Anrich Nortje to end death-over woes for DC.

Team News

LSG are likely to go with Deepak Hooda in this match as Devdutt Padikkal has been out for form them and they can also replace Mayank Yadav with Mohsin Khan if Mayank Yadav is not fit to play.

For DC, Lizzard Williams is likely to replace struggling Anrich Nortje and James Fraser-McGurk could replace Jhye Richardson to strengthen the batting lineup.

Head-to-Head

Delhi and Lucknow have faced each other in 3 matches in IPL. Out of these 3 games, Delhi have won 0 whereas Lucknow have come out victorious on 3 occasions.

Weather Report

There is a 5% chance of rain disruption in the match however, it would not play a major role in the game. Maximum temperature is expected to be 35C during the game and minimum temperature is expected to be 22C.

Probable XIs
