Rajasthan Royals are nearly invincible, having come up against almost all teams at least once, the table-toppers have endured a solitary loss so far in the tournament.

But that has not stopped the Royals' players from being self-critical. After skipper Sanju Samson reiterated sticking to the processes as mistakes tend to happen in T20 cricket, bowler Avesh Khan was also all-praise for his team but with a lesson in learning as well.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Khan was glad that the team has been bowling well as he highlighted how Trent Boult has been scalping wickets in the early overs and how Sandeep Sharma's has improved post-injury.

But in the same breath he did not fail to point out the inconsistencies in Rajasthan's bowling during the middle overs, a point also brought up by Samson after the match.

'In slog overs too, we are putting up a good show but we feel we are still lacking in 6-16 over phase and that we can do better as a bowling unit during those overs. Whenever we have a team meeting, we will surely discuss it,' Khan told reporters.

When asked about the big scoring games this season, Khan remarked, 'When one looks for excuses, your point of view is different. But when you back yourself, you see things differently. I admit that runs have been leaking in excess but as a bowler if you are confident and try to execute your skills, it is okay if you are hit for a six or a boundary on a good delivery.'

He went on to add, 'I know that wickets are flatter, the impact player rule is in place and boundaries are also smaller but as a bowler if you back yourself, you will be successful because IPL is such a platform where you cannot perform well in all 14 games (of league stages), you are going to get smacked in 4-5 games. So, it is better to accept it and give it your 100% then results will be in your favour even more.'
