Former Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah has taken a dig at the Indian govt after it initiated talks with Taliban in Qatar. Questioning India's stand on the militant group, Omar Abdullah asked if the govt sees Taliban as terrorists or not.

He further questioned that if Taliban are terrorists then why is the India govt holding talks with them and if they are not terrorists will India move United Nations to get Taliban removed from the designated terrorists organisations list.

Abdullah's comments came a day after India's envoy to Qatar, Deepak Mittal, met top Taliban lealer Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai

India has long maintained when it comes to talks with Pakistan about Kashmir that terrorism and talks cannot go hand in hand.
