"Israel categorically rejects the unfounded allegations," its mission in Geneva said in a statement.
The commission found that Israeli authorities "have destroyed in part the reproductive capacity of Palestinians in Gaza as a group through the systematic destruction of sexual and reproductive healthcare", it said in a statement.
It said this amounted to "two categories of genocidal acts" during Israel's offensive in Gaza, launched after the attacks by Hamas militants on Israel on October 7, 2023.
The United Nations' genocide convention defines that crime as acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group.
Of its five categories, the inquiry said the two implicating Israel were "deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction" and "imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group".
"These violations have not only caused severe immediate physical and mental harm and suffering to women and girls, but irreversible long-term effects on the mental health and reproductive and fertility prospects of Palestinians as a group," the commission's chair Navi Pillay said in a statement.
The three-person Independent International Commission of Inquiry was established by the UN Human Rights Council in May 2021 to investigate alleged international law violations in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
Pillay, a former UN rights chief, served as a judge on the International Criminal Court and presided over the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
Israel accused the commission of advancing a "predetermined and biased political agenda... in a shameless attempt to incriminate the Israel Defence Forces".
Destruction of IVF clinic The report said maternity hospitals and wards had been systematically destroyed in Gaza, along with the Al-Basma IVF Centre, the territory's main in-vitro fertility clinic.
It said Al-Basma was shelled in December 2023, reportedly destroying around 4,000 embryos at a clinic that served 2,000 to 3,000 patients a month.
The commission found that the Israeli Security Forces intentionally attacked and destroyed the clinic, including all the reproductive material stored for the future conception of Palestinians.
The commission found no credible evidence that the building was used for military purposes.
It concluded that the destruction "was a measure intended to prevent births among Palestinians in Gaza, which is a genocidal act".
Furthermore, the report said the wider harm to pregnant, lactating and new mothers in Gaza was on an "unprecedented scale", with an irreversible impact on the reproductive prospects of Gazans.
Such underlying acts "amount to crimes against humanity" and deliberately trying to destroy the Palestinians as a group, the commission concluded.
'Extermination' The report came after the commission conducted public hearings in Geneva on Tuesday and Wednesday, hearing from victims and witnesses of sexual violence.
It concluded that Israel had targeted civilian women and girls directly, "acts that constitute the crime against humanity of murder and the war crime of wilful killing".
Women and girls have also died from complications related to pregnancy and childbirth due to the conditions imposed by the Israeli authorities impacting access to reproductive health care, "acts that amount to the crime against humanity of extermination", it added.
The commission added that forced public stripping and nudity, sexual harassment including threats of rape, as well as sexual assault, comprise part of the Israeli Security Forces' "standard operating procedures" toward Palestinians.

Despite the swirling rumors, neither Professor Muhammad Yunus, currently serving as Bangladesh's interim leader, nor Army Chief General Waqar Uz Zaman has publicly addressed these claims.
General Zaman is at the center of these speculations, especially as Interim Leader Md Yunus faces continuous public protests. The Army Chief's recent meetings concerning national security have further fueled rumors of potential friction between military leadership and the government.
During these meetings, General Zaman reportedly emphasized the need for increased vigilance due to rising extremism within the country.
Nasimul Haque Gani, the Home Secretary of Bangladesh's interim government, has dismissed talk of a national emergency as mere "gossip."
However, Indian media outlets recently reported internal tensions within the Bangladeshi military, suggesting that General Zaman himself might be at risk of a coup by factions within the army with pro-Pakistani leanings. These statements coincide with claims from Asaduzzaman Fuad, General Secretary of the student-led Aamar Bangladesh Party, who accused the Army Chief of conspiring with President Mohammed Shahabuddin to establish a new interim government.
Fuad's comments reflect the charged political atmosphere following the violent protests in July 2024, which escalated into a crisis resulting in the exile of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Reports of Fuad&rsquo;s potential arrest have intensified speculation about a possible military intervention. The Aamar Bangladesh Party, however, has denied such claims of arrest.
Adding to the fervor, a video from last month featuring the Army Chief&rsquo;s speech has resurfaced online. In it, General Zaman warns, "Later you will say I did not warn you, so I am warning you.
If you cannot forget your differences and work together, if you keep mudslinging at each other, fight each other, and kill each other, the country's and this community's freedom will go in vain."
The Army Chief further stated his intention to stabilize the country before stepping down: "I am telling you today, otherwise you will say that I did not warn you. I have no other intentions, I have only one intention. I want to take leave after placing the country and people in a good place.
I have had enough for the last seven to eight months. We want to place the country and people in a good place and return to the barracks," he asserted, as captured in clips circulated by Bangladeshi news portals.
As speculation continues, the situation in Bangladesh remains fluid, with international observers closely monitoring the developments in this beleaguered nation.

In a press briefing held on Monday, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) warned that China and India could potentially interfere in Canada's upcoming general election. The announcement comes as relations between Canada and these two nations continue to deteriorate.
Vanessa Lloyd, the Deputy Director of Operations at CSIS, addressed reporters regarding the snap election scheduled for April 28, recently called by Canada's new Prime Minister, Mark Carney. She highlighted concerns about "hostile state actors" employing artificial intelligence to meddle in the electoral process.
"The People's Republic of China (PRC) is expected to leverage AI technology to disrupt Canada's democratic proceedings during this election," said Lloyd.
Furthermore, she indicated that China might utilize social media platforms to push narratives favorable to Beijing's interests, specifically targeting Chinese ethnic, cultural, and religious communities within Canada through "clandestine and deceptive strategies."
Additionally, Lloyd stated that evidence suggests India has both the intent and capacity to interfere in Canadian communities and its democratic practices as part of its broader geopolitical strategy.
Both China and India have previously denied such interference allegations and have yet to respond to these new claims. In the past, India dismissed Canadian suggestions of election-related interference by foreign governments, labeling them as "insinuations."
In January, Canada's commission report suggested that New Delhi might have used proxy agents to clandestinely fund candidates from multiple political parties during a federal election.
India's Ministry of External Affairs rejected these claims and criticized Canada for meddling in its domestic affairs.
The Globe and Mail, a prominent Canadian newspaper, had reported allegations that India provided covert financial backing to politicians in Canada.
The CSIS briefing also touched on potential interference by Russia and Pakistan.
Lloyd indicated that Russia has been building networks on social media and news websites to propagate Kremlin-aligned narratives, which might be used to influence the Canadian electorate. Similarly, she voiced concerns that Pakistan could engage in interference activities to further its strategic goals, including promoting stability and countering India's global influence.
Strained Canada-India relations
Relations between Canada and India have been fraught, particularly since former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused New Delhi of involvement in the murder of Khalistani activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in September 2023.
India swiftly dismissed the claim as "absurd." Tensions escalated with the expulsion of Canadian diplomats and the recall of India's envoy following Canada&rsquo;s move to question Indian officials as persons of interest in the Nijjar case.
Canada-China relations have also soured, highlighted by China's recent imposition of tariffs on over $2.6 billion worth of Canadian agricultural products.
This move came in retaliation to earlier Canadian tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and metal products.
With the election on the horizon, CSIS's warnings underscore the complex geopolitical challenges facing Canada and emphasize the need for vigilance in safeguarding its democratic processes.

"Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side," Woods wrote in a caption above two photos of himself relaxing with Vanessa Trump.

The post comes after weeks of tabloid rumors about the couple.

The US Supreme Court will review Mumbai attack accused Tahawwur Rana&rsquo;s plea against extradition to India. Rana argues health risks and possible torture, while former President Trump previously confirmed his extradition approval.

US Supreme Court justices will hear next month Mumbai terror attack accused Tahawwur Rana&rsquo;s renewed application, submitted to Chief Justice John Roberts, seeking a stay of his extradition to India.
Rana, 64, is currently lodged in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles and submitted an "Emergency Application For Stay Pending Litigation of Petition For Writ of Habeas Corpus&rdquo; on February 27, 2025 with Elena Kagan, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and Circuit Justice for the Ninth Circuit.
Earlier this month, Kagan had denied the application.&nbsp;
Rana had then renewed his "Emergency Application for Stay Pending Litigation of Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus previously addressed to Justice Kagan,&rdquo; and requested that the renewed application be directed to Chief Justice Roberts.
An order on the Supreme Court website noted that Rana&rsquo;s renewed application has been &ldquo;distributed for Conference of 4/4/2025&rdquo; and &ldquo;application&rdquo; has been &ldquo;referred to the Court.&rdquo;
Rana is known to be associated with Pakistani-American terrorist David Coleman Headley, one of the main conspirators of the 26/11 attacks.
Headley conducted a recce of Mumbai before the attacks by posing as an employee of Rana&rsquo;s immigration consultancy.
Rana was convicted in the US of one count of conspiracy to provide material support to the terrorist plot in Denmark and one count of providing material support to Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Lashker-e-Taiba which was responsible for the attacks in Mumbai.
New York-based Indian-American attorney Ravi Batra told PTI that Rana had made his application to the Supreme Court to prevent extradition, which Justice Kagan denied on March 6.
The application is now before Roberts, &ldquo;who has shared it with the Court to conference so as to harness the entire Court&rsquo;s view.&rdquo;
Batra added that he fully expects &ldquo;that in calmer times CJ Roberts would deny Rana the right to stay in America and avoid facing justice in India."
"During current times, with so many district judges blocking President Trump&rsquo;s domestic agenda changes...the Supreme Court will enjoy denying Rana more easily.&rdquo;
&ldquo;After President Trump and PM (Narendra) Modi met in the Oval, President Trump announced in the press conference that Rana will be extradited to India, to face his victims and his justice. The current posture is akin to a fish out of water, but moving around a lot to try to get back into American waters,&rdquo; Batra said.&nbsp;
Rana is seeking a stay of his extradition and surrender to India pending litigation (including exhaustion of all appeals) on the merits of a petition he filed on February 13.
In that petition, Rana argued that his extradition to India violates United States law and the United Nations Convention Against Torture "because there are substantial grounds for believing that, if extradited to India, the petitioner will be in danger of being subjected to torture."
&ldquo;The likelihood of torture in this case is even higher though as petitioner faces acute risk as a Muslim of Pakistani origin charged in the Mumbai attacks,&rdquo; the application said.
The application also said that his &ldquo;severe medical conditions&rdquo; render extradition to Indian detention facilities a &ldquo;de facto" death sentence in this case.&nbsp;
It cited medical records from July 2024 that confirm Rana has multiple &ldquo;acute and life-threatening diagnoses&rdquo;, including multiple documented heart attacks, Parkinson&rsquo;s disease with cognitive decline, a mass suggestive of bladder cancer, stage 3 chronic kidney disease, and a history of chronic asthma, and multiple COVID-19 infections.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Accordingly, petitioner certainly has raised a credible, if not compelling, factual case that there are indeed substantial grounds for believing he would be in danger of torture if surrendered to Indian authorities.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Further, because of his Muslim religion, his Pakistani origin, his status as a former member of the Pakistani Army, the relation of the putative charges to the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and his chronic health conditions he is even more likely to be tortured than otherwise would be the case, and that torture is very likely to kill him in short order.&rdquo;
The US Supreme Court denied Rana&rsquo;s petition for writ of certiorari relating to his original habeas petition on January 21, 2025.
The application notes that on that same day, newly-confirmed Secretary of State Marco Rubio had met with External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar.
When Prime Minister Modi arrived in Washington on February 12 to meet with Trump, Rana&rsquo;s counsel received a letter from the Department of State, stating that &ldquo;on February 11, 2025, the Secretary of State decided to authorize&rdquo; Rana&rsquo;s "surrender to India,&rdquo; pursuant to the &ldquo;Extradition Treaty between the United States and India&rdquo;.
Rana&rsquo;s Counsel requested from the State Department the complete administrative record on which Secretary Rubio based his decision to authorize Rana&rsquo;s surrender to India.
The Counsel also requested immediate information on any commitment the United States has obtained from India with respect to Rana&rsquo;s treatment.
&ldquo;The government declined to provide any information in response to these requests,&rdquo; the application said.
It added that given Rana&rsquo;s underlying health conditions and the State Department&rsquo;s own findings regarding the treatment of prisoners, it is very likely &ldquo;Rana will not survive long enough to be tried in India.&nbsp;
&ldquo;The issues raised by petitioner merit full and careful consideration, and the stakes are enormous for him. The very least the US courts owe the petitioner is a full chance to litigate these issues, including exercising their appellate rights, before he is consigned to the fate that awaits him at the hands of the Indian government,&rdquo; the application said.
It added that if a stay is not entered, there will be no review at all, and the US courts will lose jurisdiction, and &ldquo;petitioner will soon be dead.
Therefore, we respectfully request that this Court enter an Order staying the extradition and surrender of petitioner pending a full and considered hearing on petitioner&rsquo;s claims by the district court, circuit court, and, if necessary, a writ of certiorari to and further proceedings before this Court.&rdquo;
US President Trump, during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Modi in the White House last month, announced that Rana&rsquo;s extradition to India has been approved.
The Supreme Court justices are Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, Associate Justice &nbsp;Samuel A Alito, Jr, Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Associate Justice Elena Kagan, Associate Justice Neil M Gorsuch, Associate Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh, Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett, and Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
A total of 166 people, including six Americans, were killed in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks in which 10 Pakistani terrorists laid a more than 60-hour siege, attacking and killing people at iconic and vital locations in Mumbai.
