    Following Covid-appropriate protocols like masks, hand washing and social distancing are the best way to safeguard your health in this pandemic. At the same time, strengthening one’s immunity and physical well-being cannot be underestimated as a preventative measure.

    To help the general public, the Ministry of AYUSH has shared a list of Ayurveda-approved things you can do to help boost your immune health.

    The ministry recommends the drinking of lukewarm water frequently throughout the day.

    Common kitchen spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, dry ginger and garlic should be used while cooking regular meals.

    AYUSH experts also recommend consuming amla or Indian gooseberry, which is a rich source of vitamin C.

    Gargling using warm water with a pinch of turmeric and salt is also a part of the guidelines.

    The preventative tips suggest you practice at least 30 minutes of yoga, pranayama, and meditation every day.

    Last but possibly the most important tip from the AYUSH Ministry is getting adequate sleep of around 7-8 hours every night. The experts recommend avoiding day time sleep.
