Climate change: restoring natural landscape could help fight it

A new study published in the journal Nature states that restoring natural landscapes could help fight climate change.

The study states that boosting dwindling wildlife populations could be the most effective and cheapest way of dealing with the climate crisis.

Ecological restoration of identified areas that have been converted into farmlands and grazing areas, could help.

The study further adds that protecting even 30% of the priority areas identified by researchers could help soak up about 465 billion tons of carbon dioxide and save a majority of the birds, mammals and amphibians.
