Covid-19: India records lowest one-day deaths since July

Staying on downward course of daily Covid cases and deaths, India reported 480 fatalities linked to the coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest number of Covid-related deaths the country has reported since July 10. The country's Covid tally crossed the 79-lakh mark with 45,148 fresh cases, the health ministry data showed on Monday morning. Since August India has been recording an average of 900-1,000 Covid-related deaths. October has seen a steady decline in both cases and deaths. More than 1 lakh and 19 thousand people have died due to the virus so far. There are now 6.5 lakh total active cases while more than 71 lakh have recovered from the contagion.
