Fadnavis denies BJP link in Kangana-Maha row, takes a 'Dawood' jibe

Weighing in on the ongoing Kangana vs Maharashtra government row, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has drawn reference to underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim. He said the Udhav Thackeray government controlled BMC partially demolished Kangana’s Mumbai office as an act of vendetta but has not touched property of Dawood, who is held responsible for the 1993 Mumbai blast.

Denying BJP's link in the matter, he said the demolition of Kangana’s office resulted from the war of words between the actress and Maharashtra CM following the actress’ Mumbai remark.

Kangana's comparison of Mumbai to PoK and her statement on the Mumbai Police drew flak from the ruling Shiv Sena members. Fadnavis, however feels the issue was unnecessarily highlighted.
