A meeting called in Delhi by the govt with 30 farmers groups to assuage their concerns over the new farm laws ended abruptly. The farmers groups walked out of the meeting upset over the absence of agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar. While agriculture secretary was present from the govt side, the farmers insisted on the presence of the minister. The farmers reportedly raised slogans inside the ministry and tore up copies of the contentious farm laws. They also said their agitation against the contentious farm laws will continue.
