In what is being called a major milestone, the World Health Organisation shared that a new global test could detect Covid-19 in minutes.

This will help detect cases in low and middle-income countries across the globe. This $5 test will be especially beneficial in areas that lack enough healthcare workers and laboratories.

WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus shared that the new test will provide results in 15 to 20 minutes and over the next 6 months, manufacturers will provide 120 million tests.
