Rape case against Anurag Kashyap on actor's complaint

A rape case has been filed against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in Mumbai on the complaint of an actor who had last week accused him of forcing himself on her. According to the Mumbai Police, a rape case was filed against the acclaimed producer-director late on Wednesday night after the actor approached the Versova police station. The filmmaker will be called for questioning in this connection, a police official told news agency PTI. Kashyap, who has said these charges were an "attempt to silence" him, has received support from many in the film industry, including his 2 ex-wives.
