Legendary singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam who died on Friday due to Covid-19 has been laid to rest with full state honors.

SPB's funeral was held in Chennai on Saturday afternoon.

The veteran singer whose voice enchanted Indian cinema and music lovers over the last 5 decades, was honoured with a 72-gun salute by the Tamil Nadu police.

The late singer's family and actor Vijay along with Music composer Devi Sri Prasad, director Bharathiraja and comedian Mayilsami were also part of Balasubrahmanyam's funeral.
