Take a virtual tour of Milan's famed La Scala opera house

You can now take a virtual tour of Milan's famed La Scala opera house. The theatre's orchestra released a video performance with musicians and singers performing in their living rooms, balconies and studios to unveil the new feature via Google Arts & Culture. Though the project was in pipeline for years, the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated its launch. It includes a sneak peek into the production of performances, tour of the museum, 40 digital exhibits and close-ups of iconic costumes worn by famous opera singers. It also includes archival photos and over 16,000 documents. While museums in Italy are scheduled to reopen on the 18th of May, the date of opening for theatres is yet to be decided.
