With or without Covid-19, Japan to host Olympics

International Olympic Committee's Vice-President John Coates in a shocking statement said that Japan will host the already postponed Olympic games in 2021 with or without Covid-19. Coates who heads the coordination commission for the games confirmed that the games will start on 23rd July 2021 as per the schedule. The vice-president said that the games will be remembered as those which conquered the pandemic. Despite the confident statements from IOC & the Japanese government over the scheduling of the games, the locals are not in favour of the Olympics as the global pandemic has derailed the national economy as the cases continue to rise in Japan.
