<p>New year and new phones, Samsung just unveiled its newest lineup of smartphones during its galaxy unpacked event and I&rsquo;ve got early hands-on access with the devices. So we're going to tell you everything we know about them and what new updates they bring.</p>
<p>Ok, so as always, you&rsquo;ve got three options: the S25, S25 Plus, and the showstopper, the S25 Ultra. All three pack 12GB of RAM, smooth 120Hz AMOLED 2X displays, and 12MP selfie shooters. But the biggest difference between the three models is the cameras.</p>
<p>The S25 and S25 Plus stick to a familiar triple-camera setup with a 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto lenses. The S25 Ultra, though, features a new 50MP ultrawide camera, upgraded from last year&rsquo;s 12MP, for sharper group shots and enhanced landscapes. It retains the 200MP main camera and adds a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a 10MP telephoto. Samsung even showed off its AI zoom features, and they looked seriously impressive.</p>
<p>The Ultra also stands out with its size. It has a slightly bigger 6.9-inch screen, making it the largest in the lineup. It keeps the same 5,000mAh battery as last year but introduces a new flat-frame design with rounded edges, a departure from the sharper corners of the S24 Ultra. The titanium frame with the improved Corning Gorilla Armor 2 adds extra durability, and it&rsquo;s lighter and thinner this time.&nbsp;</p>
<p>As expected, the Ultra comes with the iconic S Pen, but there aren&rsquo;t any noticeable upgrades there. The color options for the Ultra include Titanium Silver Blue, Titanium Black, Titanium White Silver, and Titanium Gray, while the S25 and S25 Plus offer shades like Navy, Silver Shadow, Icy Blue, and Mint.</p>
<p>Now all three phones will be running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite and guess what India is getting the same variant and of course we already tested the Snapdragon 8 Elite in phones like iQOO 13 on the OnePlus 13 and also of course the Realme GT 7 Pro, so you can expect some killer performance from the S25 Ultra and the other S25 phones running the same chipset.</p>
<p>Performance-wise, all three phones run Android 15 with One UI 7. Samsung&rsquo;s Galaxy AI integration adds some cool features, like the Audio Eraser that can automatically isolate sounds from different sources in a video. It&rsquo;s a neat touch, especially for content creators.</p>
<p>Overall, the new lineup looks great, but the hardware upgrades feel more like small tweaks than major leaps. Also, Samsung announced the Indian prices; the lineup starts at ₹80,999, with the S25 Plus priced at ₹99,999, and the S25 Ultra reaching ₹1,29,999, showing a price drop from last year.</p>

<p>The super-stylish Realme 14 Pro+ has just launched in India, and it aims to dominate the mid-range smartphone segment. However, the recently launched Poco X7 Pro is a performance powerhouse, and poses as an interesting contender to the Realme 14 Pro+.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Now the two phones might look like they&rsquo;re made for completely different people: Poco is all about power and speed for gamers, while the Realme is about capturing great photos.&nbsp;</p>
<p>But chances are if you&rsquo;re shopping for a solid mid-range all-rounder, you will consider cross-shopping them. So, in this review, we&rsquo;ll dive into which phone really earns that space in your pocket.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Design&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>Design-wise, the Realme 14 Pro+ is an evolution of the Realme 13 Pro+, and it feels a lot more premium than the Poco X7 Pro.</p>
<p>The Realme is flatter than its predecessor, because it opts for quad micro curved front and back panels as compared to dual side curved panels on the 13 Pro+.</p>
<p>But, the 14 Pro+ has a party trick this time around. This pearl white colour of our review device not only looks great with its shell-like textures, but it also changes colours under certain conditions.</p>
<p>When exposed to extremely cold water or ice, the pattern turns from pearl white to blue, resembling ocean waves. This looks amazing for sure, but it&rsquo;s also not very handy because finding ice in random scenarios is not ideal. Although putting ice on it won&rsquo;t bother it much thanks to its IP69 rating.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the Poco X7 Pro adopts a distinct design language, featuring a flatter profile compared to the Realme. It sports a vegan leather back with bold colour combinations, including a striking yellow-black option which is loud and might not appeal to everyone.</p>
<p>The Realme 14 Pro + too can be snagged in vegan leather if you opt for the grey colour option.</p>
<h3><strong>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Display</strong></h3>
<p>The X7 Pro features a slightly larger 6.73-inch flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it well-suited for gaming. The panel is Widevine L1 certified and supports HDR 10+, ensuring a good viewing experience.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the Realme 14 Pro+ has a slightly bigger 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. As mentioned before this display is micro curved on all sides. But more importantly, it has slimmer and symmetrical bezels which add to its premium feel.</p>
<p>Both smartphones use Gorilla Glass 7i for display protection.</p>
<h3><strong>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Performance</strong></h3>
<p>The true highlight of the X7 Pro, is its Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip. This processor aims to bring flagship-level performance to the mid-range segment, and it doesn&rsquo;t disappoint.</p>
<p>Benchmarking scores place it between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 in terms of raw power, a remarkable feat for its price point. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 on the Realme simply cannot keep up.</p>
<p>While gaming, the X7 Pro is quite flawless. It showed smooth gameplay in titles like BGMI at 60fps, with support for 90fps expected to be added soon. The Poco even stays pretty cool while gaming.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the Realme 14 Pro+ can also handle BGMI at 60fps, although I&rsquo;ll suggest keeping the graphics settings lower to avoid frame drops.&nbsp;</p>
<p>But obviously, Poco can play demanding games like Genshin Impact pretty well thanks to the power on tap, which is something that the Realme struggles with.</p>
<h3><strong>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Software</strong></h3>
<p>Software wise, you get Android 15 on both smartphones, but Realme definitely provides a better experience. Realme UI 6 has less bloatware and does not bombard you with spam notifications like Poco&rsquo;s Hyper OS 2 does.&nbsp;</p>
<p>On the other hand, AI features are much better baked into Poco as compared to Realme</p>
<p>Also, Poco offers faster UFS 4.0 storage on its 256GB version, versus Realme&rsquo;s UFS 3.1, so it opens heavy games faster.</p>
<h3><strong>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Cameras</strong></h3>
<p>The cameras should theoretically be the Realme 14 Pro+&rsquo;s strength.</p>
<p>It features three rear sensors: 50MP main, a 50MP 3x telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide. You would have also noticed that the Relame has 3 rear flashlights. These lights can be mixed and adjusted to create various colour temperatures that fit with your skin tones. Consider it Realme&rsquo;s version of Vivo&rsquo;s Aura Light.</p>
<p>On the other hand, The X7 Pro has two rear sensors: a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide.</p>

<p>Comparing the main sensor, we see that in ample light, there&rsquo;s no real winner here. While the Realme captures more detail, Poco does have better dynamic range in a few situations.</p>
<p>But, the Poco just cannot keep up with the Realme in low light shots. Realme&rsquo;s triple flashlight setup does help with enhancing low light portraits, but it needs specific situations to work the best.</p>
<p>It is also surprising to see that the camera-focus Realme 14 Pro+ does not record 4K 60fps videos with its main sensor, while the Poco X7 can. Also, Poco ends up giving more stable footage.</p>
<p>As far as ultrawide cameras are concerned, they are fine on both, giving a decent level of detail. Although both ultrawide cameras do not match the colours of their respective main cameras.</p>
<p>Realme 14 Pro+&rsquo;s optically stabilised telephoto camera is capable of taking some great portraits with very good edge detection.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The camera can also zoom at up to 120x, providing valuable information in specific scenarios.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The telephoto camera can also film videos at 4K 30fps, giving usable footage.</p>
<p>As for selfie cameras, it is a complete win for the Realme 14 Pro+, as the Poco X7 Pro has issues with exposing the subject&rsquo;s face properly.</p>
<h3><strong>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Battery Life &amp; Charging</strong></h3>
<p>The battery life has a strong point for the X7 Pro thanks to its large 6550mAh battery utilising Silicon Carbon tech. Users can expect around 8.5 to 9 hours of screen time with mixed to heavy usage. The phone also supports 90W fast charging, making topping up the battery quick and convenient. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Realme has a pretty big 6000mAh battery, giving it a pretty strong 7.5 to 8 hours of screen time. Also, Realme features super-quick 80W charging as well. Also, Realme features super-quick 80W charging as well.</p>
<p>Evidently, these numbers are of mixed use. If you play too much, or record too many videos, your mileage will vary.</p>
<h3><strong>Realme 14 Pro+ vs Poco X7 Pro: Verdict</strong></h3>
<p>It is a trend nowadays to judge a phone by its chipset, but, if I had to pick one well-rounded smartphone for around ₹30,000, I will gravitate towards the Realme 14 Pro+. It feels much better built, has superior cameras, and a better software experience when compared to the X7 Pro.</p>
<p>Sure, the Poco X7 Pro delivers class-leading performance, and slightly better battery life. But the Realme 14 Pro+ will still provide a more complete and satisfying overall experience for most users.</p>

<p>The bad boy right here in my hand is the new OPPO Find X8 Pro, launching in India on November 21st!</p>
<p>Not only is it the first phone with ColorOS 15, but it&rsquo;s also the first flagship in India to feature the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset.</p>
<p>It packs a hefty 5,910mAh battery, so it weighs in at well over 200 grams, but the weight is well-distributed, and it stays slim at just 8.24mm.</p>
<p>Design-wise, it keeps the round camera module from the X7 series, but OPPO finally nailed the look by centering the Hasselblad logo, ditching the asymmetry of the X7 Ultra that drove me crazy.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, OPPO isn&rsquo;t launching a vegan leather version this time around, but we&rsquo;ve got the black color in a soft matte finish. It may not be as eye-catching as the Find X7 Ultra, but it&rsquo;s still very premium and is even rated for IP69 dust and water resistance.</p>
<p>On the back, you've got four camera lenses, including dual-periscope lenses for serious photography. Up front, there&rsquo;s a stunning 6.78-inch 120 Hz display with slightly curved edges and ultra-thin bezels.</p>
<p>And oh, on the side, there&rsquo;s a new Quick Button for instant camera control&mdash;just like on the latest iPhone 16 series and I do love me an alert slider.</p>

<p>The Poco M7 Pro has just launched in India and I&rsquo;ve been using it for about a week now. For a phone priced under Rs 15,000 Rupees, it offers a decent set of specs. What&rsquo;s even more interesting is how closely these specs align with the recently launched Redmi Note 14 5G. That&rsquo;s no surprise considering both Redmi and POCO are sub-brands of Xiaomi.</p>
<p>In this review we dive into what sets the POCO M7 Pro apart, and who should actually consider buying this phone.</p>
<h3><strong>Poco M7 Pro 5G: Design</strong></h3>
<p>Let&rsquo;s start by taking a quick look at the design. The Poco M7 Pro comes in three colors: olive green, grey, and this lovely lavender shade I have here. It&rsquo;s great to see such a nice range of colors in this price segment.</p>
<p>The build is mostly plastic on the back and sides, but I appreciate how resistant it is to fingerprints. Plus, the dual-tone finish with those wavy patterns on the right side adds a unique touch! The design does remind me a lot of the Redmi Note 14 Pro.</p>
<p>One good feature here is the IP64 certification. While it&rsquo;s not the highest water and dust resistance rating, it&rsquo;s definitely a nice bonus for this price range, where such features aren&rsquo;t exactly common.</p>
<p>Another big plus is the front display, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 5&mdash;always a welcome addition for durability.</p>
<p>Overall, I found the design pretty appealing, especially for an affordable phone like this. However, once you hold it, you can definitely tell it&rsquo;s a budget device.</p>

Streaming fans will be happy to know that HDR10+ support elevates the experience with deeper contrasts and richer visuals. However, while the blacks are indeed rich, it can&rsquo;t fully replicate the finesse of higher-end AMOLED panels&mdash;it&rsquo;s good for the price, but you&rsquo;ll notice the difference side-by-side with premium devices.</p>
<p>There&rsquo;s an in-display fingerprint scanner here that works super fast, and feels reliable every time.</p>

I consistently saw the phone lasting for 1-2 days with ease, with a screen-on time of about 6-7 hours. The 45W charger included in the box charges the phone to 50% in around 35 minutes, which is a handy feature for quick top-ups.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the Poco M7 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset. For everyday use&mdash;like casual browsing, social media scrolling, streaming, and messaging&mdash;it gets the job done. It even handles games like BGMI quite well, running smoothly without any noticeable lags.</p>
<p>However, this isn&rsquo;t a performance powerhouse. Multitasking and demanding gaming sessions reveal its limitations, with the CPU Throttle test showing signs of struggle under heavy loads.<br>Then there&rsquo;s the memory and storage standards&mdash;LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. While they&rsquo;re functional, they&rsquo;re also quite outdated by today&rsquo;s standards. USB 2.0 further adds to the &ldquo;old school&rdquo; vibe, and in 2024, this feels like a noticeable miss, especially as faster options become the norm in this price range.</p>

<p>Let&rsquo;s talk software, which has its strengths but doesn&rsquo;t shy away from a few issues. The primary camera does a solid job of capturing fine details, offering decent dynamic range, and delivering fairly accurate colours.</p>
<p>However, there are a couple of issues to consider. The portrait mode struggles with edge detection, so don&rsquo;t expect perfect bokeh effects. As for the &nbsp;selfie camera, &nbsp; it&rsquo;s very much in the average range. In short, the camera system here is not a game-changer, but if you're using it for casual photography in good lighting, it&rsquo;s more than enough.</p>

<p>The POCO M7 Pro really gives off Redmi Note 14 5G vibes, but at a more affordable price. The base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage starts at Rs 14,999 excluding discounts, while the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant costs Rs 16,999. So, if you&rsquo;re looking to get a good deal, this one makes sense&mdash;you&rsquo;re getting pretty much the same experience but for less money.</p>
<p>That said, the competition in this price range is pretty fierce, with brands like Realme and iQOO offering solid alternatives. The M7 Pro has to compete with some strong contenders, for sure. But if you&rsquo;re someone who wants an affordable 5G phone with a &nbsp;nice design, solid everyday performance and long battery backup, this is definitely a phone worth considering.</p>

<p>Say hello to the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, the brand&rsquo;s debut foldable smartphone in India. It is priced at ₹1,59,999 for the sole 16GB/512GB variant on offer.&nbsp;</p>
<p>While foldable phones have been around for 5 years, they haven't achieved mainstream success due to three main concerns: reliability, poor battery life, and mediocre camera quality.</p>
<p>Now, reliability is something that can be only assessed over time, but the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro aims to address the other two issues.&nbsp;</p>
<p>For instance, it has a 5,700mAh battery, which is the biggest on a foldable phone in India. For reference, it surpasses the OnePlus Open by approximately 18% and the Galaxy Fold 5 by a massive 30%.</p>
<p>That&rsquo;s not all. Charging speeds are crazy by foldable standards as well, because this phone supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, plus a 120W charging brick is a part of the retail package.</p>
<p>Since this phone is a part of Vivo's X series, it is normal to have high expectations from its cameras.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The rear camera system on this includes a trio of sensors: a 50MP main, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 64MP 3x periscope. All three lenses benefit from Zeiss optics and the company&rsquo;s signature T* coating.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In my brief usage, I noted excellent dynamic range and even colours across all sensors. Although the ultrawide was prone to ghosting issues occasionally. The low-light performance was also very impressive.&nbsp;</p>
<p>As with all Vivo Zeiss cameras, the special Zeiss-tuned portrait effects added a unique touch to portrait photos, providing pretty artistic results.&nbsp;</p>
<p>However, more thorough testing is still required to see if this phone has the camera system on foldables, so stay tuned for the full review.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Additionally, the phone features two 32MP selfie cameras, one on the exterior and another on the foldable display. However, these selfie cameras only deliver average-quality selfies.</p>
<p>Design-wise, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is the slimmest foldable phone available in India, measuring just 5.2mm when unfolded and 11.2mm when folded.&nbsp;</p>
<p>When unfolded, its weight is also surprisingly well distributed, despite the right side having the large camera island. Overall, the phone is also quite lightweight for a foldable at just 236 grams.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Aesthetically, it looks pretty cool thanks to its boxy corners. The circular camera island with Zeiss branding also adds a stylish touch to the phone's back. However, the device is somewhat slippery.</p>
<p>Taking care of the folding operations on the X Fold 3 Pro is a carbon fibre hinge. Vivo claims it can withstand more than 100 folds everyday for 12 years. The hinge is also decently versatile and allows for multiple viewing angles.</p>
<p>Anyway, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro features the largest foldable display on a phone in India: it is an 8.03-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits. The bezels around the display are pretty slim, but the crease is quite visible.</p>
<p>The cover display is equally noteworthy -it is a 6.53-inch panel with similar specifications, including the 4500 nits peak brightness. Its 21:9 aspect ratio also makes it convenient to use as a regular phone when folded.</p>
<p>By the way, this phone has two ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, one each on the outside and inside. It sounds like an overkill, but it's actually quite a practical approach as you are not limited to unlocking the phone in just one orientation.&nbsp;</p>
<p>On the software front, the Vivo X Fold Fold 3 Pro device runs on Funtouch OS 14. It is free of bloatware and spammy notifications: it&rsquo;s probably the only Vivo smartphone in India with a software this clean. I&rsquo;m glad Vivo has finally realised that people don&rsquo;t like bloatware on expensive phones.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Funtouch OS, as always, is fast and well optimised, plus thanks to its large inner display, the phone supports multitasking with up to three apps simultaneously. So productivity nerds will be quite happy with this thing.&nbsp;</p>
<p>By the way, horsepower on this phone is provided by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which obviously, ensures flagship-grade performance.&nbsp;</p>
