Honor 90 India launch imminent, Amazon landing page goes live : Check expected price, specs and features

The Honor 90 is all set for its highly anticipated India launch, as it recently secured the BIS certification, a crucial step towards its official release in the country.

While the Honor 90 BIS certification does not shed light on the hardware specifications, it brings the smartphone one step closer to its debut.

Although the Honor 90 India release date is yet to be officially announced, the certification suggests that it won’t be too long until it hits the market.

The smartphone is part of Honor’s plan to re-establish its presence in India, with Madhav Sheth, former head of the Realme India division, spearheading the Honor India division.

This latest development suggests that the Honor 90 India launch date for September is a strong possibility.

Anticipation Builds for Honor 90 India Launch

The Honor 90’s BIS certification, spotted by Mukul Sharma, did not reveal much beyond the Honor branding and the model number, REA-NX9.

However, now that the certification is complete, it is expected that Honor will begin teasing the phone on its social media channels.

Additionally, Madhav Sheth confirmed that the Honor 90 in India will include Google apps such as Maps and Chrome.

The device is also expected to receive two major OS upgrades and three years of security patches, with no bloatware apps pre-installed. Furthermore, the Honor 90 price in India is rumored to be approximately Rs 40,000.

Honor 90 Specifications and Features

While the Honor 90 variant released in India may differ slightly from the global version, it is anticipated to boast a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 1,600 nits peak brightness, and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

Under the hood, it is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition (4nm) Mobile Platform with an Adreno 644 GPU. The Honor 90 features may include 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage options and run on Android 13 based MagicOS 7.1.

The Honor 90 camera setup is expected to include a 200MP main camera with an f/1.9 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Additionally, a 50MP front camera is expected to be part of the package.

Connectivity options may include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and NFC. The Honor 90 battery capacity is expected to be 5000mAh, supported by 66W SuperCharge fast charging.

Competition and Market Response

The Honor 90 is poised to enter a highly competitive market, with several other brands offering devices with similar specifications and price points. The Honor 90 competition includes smartphones from brands such as OnePlus, Samsung, and Xiaomi.

It remains to be seen how the Honor 90 will fare against its competitors and whether it will be able to carve out a niche for itself in the Indian market.

Honor 90 Amazon India Listing Page goes Live

The Honor 90 listing has appeared on Amazon India today. Although the page does not disclose many details, including the highly anticipated Honor 90 India launch date, it now confirms that the smartphone will be available for purchase on the online shopping platform.

Wrap Up

The Honor 90 India launch is drawing closer, with the BIS certification completed and a rumored price tag of around Rs 40,000. The device is expected to come with an impressive array of features, including a 200MP camera, 5G connectivity, and a 5000mAh battery with fast charging support.

However, it will face stiff competition from other brands in a crowded market. The official Honor 90 India release date and final specifications will hopefully be announced soon, paving the way for Honor’s comeback in the Indian market.
