The latest addition to Sony's smartphone lineup, the Sony Xperia 5 V, was recently revealed during an online event.
This device comes with several notable upgrades over its predecessor, including a 6.1-inch 21:9 FHD+ HDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch scanning rate, and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM.
Innovative Camera Technology
One of the most remarkable features of the Sony Xperia 5 V is its camera. It houses a 52MP "Exmor T for mobile" sensor, despite having only dual rear cameras. Additionally, the Sony Xperia 5 V camera comes with S-Cinetone, a feature popular among cinematographers, and a Creative Look, also found in Sony's Alpha series cameras. Moreover, it includes high-performance real-time AF (auto focus).
Enhanced Audio and Build Quality
The device also boasts Full-Stage stereo speakers, Sony Xperia 5 V features Sony's own 360 Reality Audio, and has Dolby Atmos sound, tuned in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment. In terms of build, it has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on both front and back, as well as IP65/68 ratings for dust and water resistance.
It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5000mAh Sony Xperia 5 V battery with support for fast charging and Qi wireless charging.
