Vivo has officially launched its first foldable phone in India, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the launch details, specifications, features, and pricing of this highly anticipated device.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro India Launch Details

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was unveiled at a launch event on June 6, 2024. This marks Vivo’s entry into the foldable smartphone market in India. The device boasts cutting-edge technology and premium features aimed at providing a superior user experience

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Specifications and Features

Display

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro features an 8.03-inch LTPO AMOLED inner display with a resolution of 2200 x 2480 pixels. It offers a 120Hz variable refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. Additionally, the phone has a 6.53-inch AMOLED outer display with a resolution of 1172 x 2748 pixels, also supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.

Camera

The X Fold 3 Pro comes equipped with a triple camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP front camera.

Performance

Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro ensures high performance and efficiency. It is paired with an Adreno 750 GPU to handle graphics-intensive tasks. The device offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Battery and Charging

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is equipped with a substantial 5700mAh battery. It supports 100W flash charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring quick and convenient power replenishment.

Software

Running on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, the X Fold 3 Pro includes features like Fold to Split, Air Gesture, Split-screen screenshots, Microsoft-link to Windows, Desk Calendar AOD, Flex mode controls, AI Note Assist, AI Transcript Assist, and AI Screen Translation.

Additional Features of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is designed with a lightweight carbon fiber hinge, making it the thinnest foldable phone at just 5.2mm thick when open. It weighs 236g, making it easy to handle and carry. The phone is certified by TÜV Rhineland to withstand 500,000 folds, ensuring durability over extended use.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Price in India

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was initially launched in China at a starting price of 9,999 yuan, approximately ₹1.17 lakh. In India, the phone is priced at Rs. 1,59,999 for the 16GB + 512GB model. This price reflects the premium nature of the device, considering its advanced features and cutting-edge technology.

To make the purchase more accessible, Vivo has introduced several launch offers. Customers can avail of a flat Rs. 15,000 instant discount with HDFC, SBI, and ICICI cards. Additionally, there is a one-time free screen replacement offer and up to 24 months of no-cost EMI options. Vivo is also offering up to Rs. 10,000 as an exchange bonus for eligible devices.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Availability in India

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will be available for purchase from June 13, 2024. It can be bought through Vivo India’s eStore, Amazon.in, Flipkart, and various offline retail stores. Pre-bookings for the device began on June 6, 2024.
