YouTuber Prince Dixit Delhi Police arrested for traffic violation on birthday

The police response came after videos showing people standing on the car roof and creating a ruckus on NH-24 went viral.

Delhi Police have arrested YouTuber Prince Dixit for allegedly violating traffic rules on his birthday last year.
The police response came after videos showing people sticking out of the sun roof and creating a ruckus on NH-24 went viral.
The viral video shows a convoy of cars with people popping out of the windows and hooting in unison with loud music amid a busy highway.
At one point they got down and disrupted traffic movement as seen in the viral video.
Netizens raised concern over the uncalled violation of traffic rules as they sought action against the men in the video.
Taking cognizance of the purported clip, Delhi Police on March 16 assured legal action against the offenders.
Prince reportedly told police that the video was shot on his birthday on November 16, 2022. Meanwhile, the search is on to locate other people captured in the video, as per reports.

The Delhi Police on 3rd March arrested a 24-year-old Uber auto-rickshaw driver for allegedly sexually harassing a woman journalist during a ride in southeast Delhi.
According to the police, the journalist, filed a police complaint alleging indecent behaviour by Uber driver Vinod Kumar Yadav when she was travelling from New Friends Colony to Malviya Nagar around 4.40 pm on Wednesday.
The Delhi Commission for Women has issued a notice to the city police and the cab aggregator firm on the victim's complaint.&nbsp;
A case under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC has been registered and investigation initiated, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Rajesh Deo said.
Taking to Twitter, the woman narrated her ordeal.
The Delhi Commission for Women said it has received a complaint in the matter and has issued a notice to the city police and the cab aggregator firm.
The women's panel has sought an action taken report by March 6.&nbsp;

Iranian athourities have arrested author and illustrator Mehdi Bahman for speaking against the regime in a television interview, according to a Hindustan Times report.&nbsp;
As per the report, Bahman has also been sentenced to death for criticising the regime in his interview given to an Israeli television channel.
The author called for peace between Israel and Iran apart from criticising Iranian regime in Tehran. He was arrested soon after the interview, the report added.&nbsp;
So far, Iranian authorities have sentenced 11 people to death for their anti-government act amid the ongoing demonstrations.&nbsp;

Top actress Taraneh Alidoosti arrested by Iranian authorities over protests

In November, Hengameh Ghaziani and Katayoun Riahi, two other famous Iranian actresses, were arrested by authorities for expressing solidarity with protesters on social media.

Iranian authorities arrested one of the country's most renowned actresses on charges of spreading falsehoods about nationwide protests that grip the country, state media said.
The report by IRNA said Taraneh Alidoosti, star of the Oscar-winning movie &ldquo;The Salesman,&rdquo; was detained on Saturday, a week after she made a post on Instagram expressing solidarity with the first man recently executed for crimes allegedly committed during the protests.
The announcement is the latest in a series of celebrity arrests, that have included footballers, actors and influencers, in response to their open display of support for anti-government demonstrations now in their third month According to the report published on the state media's official Telegram channel, Alidoosti was arrested because she did not provide ''any documents in line with her claims.? It said that several other Iranian celebrities had also been summoned by the judiciary body over publishing provocative content, and that some had been arrested. It provided no further details.

In her post, the 38-year-old actress said: ''His name was Mohsen Shekari. Every international organization who is watching this bloodshed and not taking action, is a disgrace to humanity." Following a heated argument, he took out a surgical knife and slit Tapaswi&rsquo;s throat even as a frightened friend ran out of the house to alert the neighbours.
Gnaneswar dragged a bleeding Tapaswi into an adjoining room and locked it up before the locals came and broke open the doors.
He cut his arm on seeing the locals before he was overpowered.
They handed him over to the police.
Meanwhile, the bleeding girl was taken to a private hospital in Guntur, where she succumbed.

Ali's premise was one of the locations raided by the ACB on Friday.
According to officials, one unlicensed weapon, Rs 12 lakh in cash, and some cartridges were recovered from there.
Ali has been arrested by the southeast district police under Arms Act.
The anti-corruption agency seized Rs 24 lakh in cash and two unlicensed weapons in all in raids at four locations.
The ACB had summoned Khan in a case pertaining to alleged financial misappropriation and other irregularities in the functioning of the Delhi Waqf Board, which Khan heads as its chairman.
An FIR was already registered in connection with the alleged wrongdoing in the board.
As alleged in the FIR, the ACB's Friday statement said, Khan, while working as chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board, illegally recruited 32 people violating all norms and government guidelines and engaged in corruption and favouritism.
The then CEO of Delhi Waqf Board had clearly given a statement and issued a memorandum against the illegal recruitment, the statement had said.
Two FIRs have been registered by the ACB in southeast district pertaining to recovery of illegal weapons.

Four persons were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the video circulated online of a group of men offering namaz inside the newly opened Lulu Mall in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The arrests were made for offering prayers in an ‘unauthorised manner’ and on charges of promoting enmity between groups.

As per police, preliminary investigation suggests that there was &ldquo;no motive&rdquo; behind their act.

Four persons were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the video circulated online of a group of men offering namaz inside the newly opened Lulu Mall in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The arrests were made for offering prayers in an &lsquo;unauthorised manner&rsquo; and on charges of promoting enmity between groups, according to police.
The police action came a day after UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath rebuked the local administration and directed them to take &ldquo;strict action against miscreants who create nuisance and try to vitiate the atmosphere, saying the venue has been turned into a &ldquo;political hotbed&rdquo;.
The four arrested have been identified as Lucknow residents Mohammad Rehan and Atif Khan, and Sitapur residents Mohammad Lokman and Mohammad Noman. As per police, preliminary investigation suggests that there was &ldquo;no motive&rdquo; behind their act.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to nab four other suspects in the case.
The viral video triggered a major controversy with a social media campaign being launched against the mall. The mall management was accused of hiring mostly members of the Muslim community from outside the state to which they responded by issuing a statement clarifying that &ldquo;over 80 percent&rdquo; of its staff are Hindus. The mall authorities also registered a case over the incident against unidentified persons, after the namaz video went viral.

On Sunday, two people were arrested after they entered the mall and began chanting &lsquo;Hanuman Chalisa&rsquo;. Their arrest was followed by the detention of at least 15 members of a right-wing group for creating chaos while attempting to enter the shopping mall but were eventually let off with a warning.
The mall was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on July 10.

Singh was traced on Tuesday night to a hospital at Vasai in neighbouring Palghar district, located about 50 km from Mumbai.
