A bomb threat call was received at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Tuesday. However, it turned out to be a hoax, Delhi Police said.&nbsp;
According to officials, the hoax call was received at the airport at around 5.15 am regarding a flight from Delhi to Kolkata, which was scheduled to depart from IGI airport.&nbsp;
After an inquiry, the call was found to be bogus, Delhi Police said. However, all the necessary protocols were followed, keeping in view the security of passengers.&nbsp;
A month ago, the IGI airport was put on high alert after a bomb threat call was received for a Darbangha to Delhi flight. Delhi Police official said that during the inquiry, that turned out to be bogus as well.&nbsp;
The passengers were quickly deplaned after the flight landed in Delhi.&nbsp;

Indian Army's bomb disposal squad on Tuesday examined the live shell found a day earlier a few hundred metres from the helipad used by Punjab and Haryana chief ministers in Chandigarh. 

The bomb had been placed in a drum and covered with sandbags by the police on Monday.&nbsp;

A day after a live explosive was found a few hundred metres from the helipad used by Punjab and Haryana chief ministers in Chandigarh, the Indian Army's bomb disposal experts reached the spot on Tuesday morning.
The Army's experts and officers of the bomb disposal squad examined the live shell in protective gear inside a police cordon. A fire tender and an ambulance were stationed at the spot in the morning.
The area where the bomb was discovered lies in Chandigarh, close to the Chandigarh-Punjab border.
The bomb was found in a mango garden on the Nayagaon-Kansal T-point, which is about a kilometre away from the helipad and about two kilometres from the official residences of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar.
The police questioned several people, including many scrap dealers in nearby areas, for clues on how the bomb could have reached the mango garden where it was found on Monday, sources said.

As soon as the police received information that a bomb-like object had been found in the high-security area, they reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
The local administration later informed the Army.
Sanjeev Kohli, nodal officer, disaster management, Chandigarh, had earlier said, "When we came and checked it we found that it was a live shell. We have secured the area." "It is a matter of investigation how this shell got here," he added.
"With the help of police and the bomb disposal squad team, the shell has been placed in a drum and covered with sandbags and the Army has been informed," he had said, adding, "Army officials will come and take care of it." The possibility of a scrap dealer dumping it here cannot be ruled out, he had said.
In the past, there have been cases of scrap dealers collecting used shells from the vicinity of military firing ranges.
Punjab Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) AK Pandey, who reached the spot on Monday, had said that it appeared to be a "misfired shell".
There are many scrap dealers in the area where the shell was found. It is being investigated if anyone could have discarded it here, he said.

In December 2020, a sticky bomb attack reportedly killed Kabul’s deputy provincial governor. In June 2021, ISIS claimed responsibility for blasts in 2 cars in Shiite neighbourhood which killed at least 7.

One trick is to distract the driver of the target car at traffic light stops etc, while another person sticks the bomb to the vehicle. The mastermind pushing sticky bombs into Kashmir is clear. On May 27, a drone from Pakistan carrying 7 sticky bombs was shot down in Kathua. Days earlier, on May 13, a sticky bomb might have been used to attack Vaishno Devi pilgrims. On April 28, a sticky bomb was found just in time at Sidhra bypass near Jammu, averting a tragedy. In August 2021, four sticky bombs were allegedly found with a man in Poonch, as per reports.

An improvised explosive device (IED) stuffed with RDX and ammonium nitrate was found inside an unattended bag at the Ghazipur flower market in Delhi on Friday morning but it was later defused, officials said.
The explosive was kept in an iron box and concealed in the black coloured backpack.
The incident comes ahead of Republic Day celebrations on January 26 for which the security apparatus in the national capital is already on high alert.
"The explosive prima facie looks to be a mix of RDX and ammonium nitrate. It was about 3 kgs in weight and there were some sharpnel embedded," NSG director general M A Ganapathy told PTI.
Another National Security Guard (NSG) officer said they were alerted by the Delhi Police about the suspicious object around 11 am and soon after a team of its bomb detection and disposal experts and a heavy metal container called total containment vessel tugged to a truck reached the market, located close to Delhi's border with Uttar Pradesh.&nbsp; Fire officials said they received the information of the suspicious unattended bag at 10.19 am.&nbsp; Officials from the special cell of Delhi Police and fire department also reached the spot.
"The IED was destroyed around 1:30 pm by using a controlled explosion technique after it was lowered into a deep pit located in the area.&nbsp; "The samples of the IED have been collected and a detail report will be sent to the Delhi Police," the NSG officer said.
A bomb suit wearing NSG personnel was also seen at the site apart from officials from the special cell and regular Delhi Police units.
According to preliminary investigation, the bomb was placed at the main gate of the flower market.&nbsp; "It is suspected that the alleged person did the recee before planting the bomb and we suspect there was a timer placed inside the bomb. The investigation is still underway to ascertain who and how was the bomber placed," a senior police official said.
