Speaking with Zoom, Boney Kapoor said, &lsquo;I love him (Shikhar) and in fact, in between a couple of years back Janhvi was not seeing him but I was still friendly to him. I was convinced he can never be an ex. He&rsquo;ll be around. Boney Kapoor opened up about wife, actor Sridevi's death for the first time and asserted that it was not natural but accidental.
In an interview with The New Indian, Boney addressed all claims of him behind the legendary actor's death and said that he went through all tests during the probe by the Dubai Police. He added that he was informed that there was a lot of pressure on the case from Indian media.
&nbsp;'It was not a natural death; it was an accidental death. I had decided not to speak about it because I spoke about it for almost 24 or 48 hours together when I was being investigated and interrogated. That is how I got a clean chit from the Dubai police. In fact, the officers said we had to go through this because there was a lot of pressure from Indian media. Well, I said I have nothing more to say than what I have been saying. And they discovered there was no foul play. I went through all the tests, including lie detector tests and all those things. And then, of course, the report which came clearly stated it was accidental death by drowning,' he said.&nbsp;
Boney also spoke about Sridevi's health and shared that their family physician always advised her against a strict diet.
He revealed that she often used to starve to look good and had blackouts on a couple of occasions but the doctor kept on saying she had low blood pressure issues.
&nbsp;'She often used to starve; she wanted to look good. She would make sure that she is chiselled and in good shape, so that on-screen, she looks good,' Boney said.
He said Sridevi had come down to 46-47 kgs in past and cited examples of films like English Vinglish.&nbsp;

The Election Commission of India has seized 66 kg of silverware allegedly belonging to film producer Boney Kapoor in poll-bound Karnataka's Davangere, as per an India Today report.
As per the report, the silverwares worth Rs 39 lakhs were seized at the check post neat Hebbalu toll in the wee hours of Friday. The silverware was reportedly being transported without proper documentation in a BMW car from Chennai to Mumbai.&nbsp;
Following the seizure, a case against the driver and another man accompanying him was filed at Davangere rural police station.&nbsp;
During the initial probe, Hari Singh, the man with the driver, confessed that the articles belonged to Boney Kapoor's family.&nbsp;

Sridevi’s biography to be launched soon, Boney Kapoor says it ‘befits her extraordinary life’

Sridevi&rsquo;s husband, filmmaker Boney Kapoor said, &lsquo;Sridevi was a force of nature. She was the happiest when she shared her art on screen with her fans but she was also a fiercely private person.

Westland Books announced on Wednesday that the official biography of superstar Sridevi, titled &lsquo;Sridevi: The Life of a Legend&rsquo;, will be published soon.
Written by debutant author Dhiraj Kumar, the biography will be released this year. It has a complete portrait of the actor, who ruled the commercial cinema space in the &rsquo;80s and &rsquo;90s.
Speaking with Indian Express, the late actor&rsquo;s husband, filmmaker Boney Kapoor said, &lsquo;Sridevi was a force of nature. She was the happiest when she shared her art on screen with her fans but she was also a fiercely private person. Dhiraj Kumar is someone she considered family. He is a researcher, writer and columnist. We are happy that he is writing a book that befits her extraordinary life.&rsquo;

She then went on to work in over 300 films in Tamil, Malayalam, Kanada and Hindi. In a career spanning five decades, she has been conferred with several awards, including the Padma Shri, National Film Award and Filmfare awards.&nbsp;
Sridevi died at the age of 54 in 2018.&nbsp;

Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, often gets trolled for her heritage. She talked about the difference between trolling and actual criticism in a recent interview.
Speaking with Harper&rsquo;s Bazaar, Janhvi said, &lsquo;No matter what you do, somebody will find faults or have something to say, because that makes them feel important. Next thing you know, you&rsquo;ve made the headlines&hellip;and unfortunately, people feed off of that.&rsquo;
&lsquo;You know, it really hurts when you&rsquo;re putting in the hard work, the sweat and blood, or undergoing the mental turmoil, and some random, anonymous person on the Internet goes like, &lsquo;Acting nahi aati toh kyun karti ho, nepotism ki bacchi?&rsquo; (If you can&rsquo;t act, why do you try, nepo-baby?). It takes all of a second to reduce you to something insignificant. On the other hand, if somebody says, &lsquo;You were good in Mili, but you could improve your performance in another film,&rsquo; then I respect that,&rsquo; she added.
Citing the examples of her mother, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt, Janhvi expressed her desire to do a love story as well as a commercial film.
&lsquo;I&rsquo;m really looking forward to starring in a heartwarming love story. In hindsight, I don&rsquo;t think I&rsquo;ve portrayed conventional heroines on-screen, such as in a romcom. You know, where the actor just comes in, looks a certain way, and sings romantic songs&mdash;I haven&rsquo;t had that. So, I&rsquo;d like to be part of such a project, which, of course, does justice to me as an artist as well. Kareena (Kapoor Khan) in Jab We Met (2007), Alia (Bhatt) in pretty much all of her films, Deepika (Padukone) in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), and Kajol, too! I think there is so much vivaciousness, liveliness, beauty, and romance that they lend to their films. My mother (Sridevi), and even Madhuri (Dixit Nene) ma&rsquo;am, if I come to think of it,&rsquo; she said.
Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen in &lsquo;Mr and Mrs Mahi&rsquo; alongside Rajkummar Rao.

Producer Boney Kapoor has put to rest the rumours surrounding his daughter, actor Janhvi Kapoor&rsquo;s Tamil debut. Taking to Twitter, he clarified that Janhvi hasn&rsquo;t signed any Tamil film at the moment and requested media to not spread &lsquo;false rumours&rsquo;.

Rumours are also rife that the &lsquo;Roohi&rsquo; actor will be making her Telugu cinema debut opposite actor Jr NTR in Koratala Siva&rsquo;s upcoming project.

Boney Kapoor has shared details on the sequel of his 2005 film &lsquo;No Entry.&rsquo; In an interview, Boney said the film has 'no issue of legality' and added that 'everything is under control'.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Boney said, &lsquo;There is a demand for sequels of Wanted, No Entry and Mr India. There are people who are wanting to make 'Hum Paanch' all over again. Some of my films have already been remade in some or the other way. I know 'Woh Saat Din,' I know 'Ponga Pandit.' There are few films from our older slate which have been made again in a different world, with upscaled production.&rsquo;
When asked about &lsquo;No Entry&rsquo; sequel, &lsquo;I can&rsquo;t discuss this on camera and it&rsquo;s not for the public domain. If it is destined to happen, it will happen. The script is there and the actors are there too. It's just about everything falling in the right place. There is no issue of legality as it is written about in the media. Everything is under control and things just have to fall in place.&rsquo;

The 'Mili' producer shared a glimpse of his midnight birthday celebrations on Instagram and wrote, 'It was wonderful to bring in my birthday with my family and my good friends&hellip; love and light to all !'

‘Mili’ teaser: Janhvi Kapoor’s race against time before she freezes to death

&lsquo;Mili&rsquo;, directed by Mathukutty Xavier, is scheduled to release on November 4, 2022.

The teaser of Jahnvi Kapoor&rsquo;s upcoming survival thriller &lsquo;Mili&rsquo; was unveiled by the makers on social media, hours after they shared the first look posters of the actor. Janhvi, who plays the titular role in the film, finds herself trapped in a storage freezer and she is trying her best to escape before she freezes to death.
The teaser also gives brief glimpses of actors Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa, who are worried about Mili&rsquo;s whereabouts. The clip concludes in an intriguing way &ndash; it shows a cut shot of Mili, from before she got trapped in the freezer, opening her fridge and taking out a packet of milk.
Everyone seems impressed with teaser. Bhumi Pednekar and Sanjay Kapoor are among many who have dropped a comment on Janhvi&rsquo;s post.

Boney Kapoor has shared some pictures of him on Instagram. The first picture is a recent one, he can be seen wearing a white tuxedo and the other pictures are old memories of his wife Sridevi. While sharing the picture Boney remembered the time he wore the tuxedo last almost 10 years back at Sridevi’s film English Vinglish's premiere. Sridevi died in 2018 in Dubai at a family function.  
While sharing the pictures, Boney wrote, ‘Wearing the tux which I wore for English Vinglish premiere in Tokyo 10 years back , happy to see it still fits me.’ Boney Kapoor and Sridevi can be seen looking at each other lovingly in the picture.  
Boney had recalled in an old interview about the time he first saw Sridevi in the 70s when she was shooting for a Tamil film. The couple later interacted in 1987 when the actor was shooting for Mr India opposite Boney's younger brother Anil Kapoor.  They started dated in the 90s and got married in 1996. 
While remembering her wife on her death anniversary Boney told Gulf news, “I am not looking for closure. I want her to be around me all the time. She is there in my thoughts and will remain in my thoughts all the time. There is not a single moment of the day where she is not with me. She may not be here physically, but she’s there in my mind all the time and that keeps me going.”

Boney Kapoor wore the same tuxedo he had worn at the premiere of 'English Vinglish' in Tokyo, at Kunal Rawal and Arpita Mehta's wedding on Sunday. 

Boney Kapoor shared a series of photos in a white tuxedo on Instagram and wrote, 'Wearing the tux which I wore for English Winglish premiere in Tokyo 10yrs back, happy to C it still fits me.'

Boney Kapoor took to Instagram on Monday and shared some pictures from the premiere of the 2012 hit &lsquo;English Vinglish&rsquo;, which was his wife Sridevi&rsquo;s comeback film after a hiatus of almost 15 years. The first image is from designer Kunal Rawal and Arpita Mehta's wedding, while the others are from 2012. Sharing the pictures, the filmmaker mentioned that he is wearing the same tuxedo he wore for the film's premiere a decade later, in 2022.

She wrote, "It's a wrap! Milli - My first film with papa, of whom I've only heard stories of all my life as a producer. But after working with you, and it feels so cool to say that!! I finally know what everyone means when they say you give your heart and soul to each film you take up."
Janhvi went on to say what made the film more special, she said, "That isn't the only reason this film is so special to me- it's been the most inspiring journey to work with someone so completely consumed by his focus and love for cinema like Mathukutty Xavier sir. Thank you and Noble Thomas for your guidance and patience. For reinstating my belief that if you work honestly enough and hard enough, however tough the journey is- it's still the closest thing to magic. And it's worth everything.
