PV Sindhu pulls out of Denmark Open 

PV Sindhu&nbsp;withdraws from Denmark Open to participate in November's Asia Open I and II&nbsp;

Olympic Silver medallist PV Sindhu on Thursday withdrew&nbsp;from the Denmark Open Badminton tournament. Although she had decided to take part in the event which is scheduled to be held in Odense&nbsp;from October 13 to 18, the 25-year-old&nbsp;now plans to participate in the Asia Open I and Asia Open II scheduled in November. Earlier this week, the Badminton Association of India asked the players, participating in the tournament to submit&nbsp;a consent letter by Sept&nbsp;17, stating that they would be travelling or participating on their own responsibility&nbsp;due to the current pandemic.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Thomas and Uber Cup cancelled due to Covid-19

Top Indian shuttlers&nbsp;had shown their willingness to play the&nbsp;Thomas and Uber Cup and India had even announced a 20-member contingent.

Top Indian shuttlers&nbsp;may have shown their willingness in playing the&nbsp;Thomas and Uber Cup finals but the Badminton World Federation has decided to postpone the tournament until 2021.&nbsp;The decision was made after several teams, including powerhouses South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia, withdrew from the tournament due to the&nbsp;coronavirus pandemic. The prestigious team tournament was scheduled to be held in Aarhus, Denmark from October 3 to 12 and India had even announced a 20-member contingent with PV Sindhu and Kidambi&nbsp;Srikanth&nbsp;as possible leaders of the teams.&nbsp;However, the BWF&nbsp;has decided to go ahead with the Denmark Open due be held from October 13 to 18. But Denmark Masters, scheduled from October 20 has been cancelled.
