An open letter by 21 current and former workers, says the Blue Origin culture 'reflects the worst of the world we live in now'&nbsp;

A group of current and former employees at Blue Origin, the&nbsp;space flight&nbsp;company owned by the Amazon founder,&nbsp;Jeff Bezos, has accused the business of operating a work environment that is 'rife with sexism' and prefers 'breakneck speed' to safety.
An open letter written by Alexandra Abrams, the former head of employee communications at Blue Origin and 20 other current and former workers, says the company&rsquo;s culture 'reflects the worst of the world we live in now' and must change.
The letter, published on the whistleblower forum Lioness, says: &ldquo;Numerous senior leaders have been known to be consistently inappropriate with women.&rdquo; The letter goes on to allege that a senior figure in the organisation was reported a number of times for sexual harassment and the workforce was 'mostly male' and&nbsp;'overwhelmingly white'.
A Blue Origin spokesperson said the firm has no tolerance for discrimination or harassment of any kind and it will promptly investigate any new claims of misconduct.

In another round of the billionaires' bout, SpaceX&nbsp;chief Elon Musk took a jab at Space aspirant Jeff Bezos&nbsp;by saying he can not sue his way to the moon. Shortly after Amazon announced Jassy would be the new CEO, Rep. Ken Buck,&nbsp;R-Colo., a member of the House Subcommittee on Antitrust, tweeted that he&rsquo;d like to question Jassy. This is the same House subcommittee that released report last year laying out alleged antitrust violations by Amazon, Apple, Google and Facebook. Bezos&rsquo; parting gift or leadership direction has been the addition of another Amazon principle&nbsp;&ldquo;Success&nbsp;and Scale Bring Broad&nbsp;Responsibility&rdquo; Bezos&nbsp;reminds those now holding the reins stating &ldquo;We started in a garage, but we're not there anymore. Amazon has repeatedly denied it favors its own products over others. Indian retailers have long alleged that Amazon's platform largely benefits a few big sellers, and that the e-commerce company engages in predatory pricing that harms their businesses. Reports have also alleged Amazon uses data from third-party sellers to develop its own products and then market them prominently.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Worker unrest:&nbsp;As the second largest private employer in the US with a workforce that now tops 1.3 million, managing&nbsp;labour&nbsp;issues will be on top of the domestic agenda for Jassy. The pandemic exposed the substandard working condition for warehouse workers which overshadowed the fact that Amazon continued to pay workers double of the minimum wage.
