Kaziranga National Park will not open for tourists for now 

Kaziranga National Park in Assam which was scheduled to be opened on the 15th of October, will no longer open to tourists for now.&nbsp;

Earlier plans of opening Assam's&nbsp;Kaziranga National Park on the 15th of October have been halted due to the flood situation.
Assam minister&nbsp;Parimal Suklabaidya&nbsp;said that a new date for the opening of the national park to tourists will be announced once flood waters recede and the situation improves.
This year's rainfall in the region submerged almost 85% of the park underwater.&nbsp;

New areas to be added to Assam's Kaziranga National Park

In some good news, over 3,000 hectares will be added to the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, aiding movement of tigers from Kaziranga&nbsp;to neighbouring parks.&nbsp;

In some good news, over 3,000 hectares will be added to the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, aiding movement of tigers from Kaziranga&nbsp;to neighbouring parks as well as&nbsp;reducing the frequency of 'negative' human-wildlife interaction.&nbsp;
The&nbsp;7th, 8th and 9th additions which were approved by the Assam government, include areas from where encroachment has been removed.
The new addition will increase the area of Kaziranga&nbsp;National Park to&nbsp;914 sq km.
