India's challenge in boxing at the Asian Games came to an end with Lovlina Borgohain, who lost her final bout in the women's 75kg category to settle for silver.
World Champion Lovlina lost to 2-time Olympic medallist and former World Champion, home favourite Li Qian of China.
While Lovlina didn't have a bad outing by any stretch of the imagination, she didn't do enough after losing the first round. Qian, eventually, was crowned the winner by a unanimous 5-0 decision by the judges.
Earlier in the day, India's Parveen Hooda too had to settle for bronze after losing her women's 57kg semifinal to Yu Ting Lin of Chinese Taipei.

Indian Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who is one of the top contenders to bring the gold medal for India in Birmingham 2022 has alleged mental harassment due to the absence of her coaches.
Borgohain shared a post on Twitter and said that her coach Sandhya Gurung was denied entry to the CWG village and one of her coaches has been sent home which has impacted her training just 8 days ahead of her event at the Commonwealth Games.
The Olympic bronze medalist further said that she is unable to focus on the Games because of this and she doesn't want to ruin her CWG campaign. I hope to win a medal for my country despite all the politics, added the 24-year-old.
In response to the Assam-born athlete's tweet, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports stated that they have urged the Indian Olympic Association to immediately arrange for the accreditation of the coach of Lovlina Borgohain.
Notably, Arjun Award Lovlina scripted history in Tokyo last year and took home a bronze medal in boxing's welterweight category for the country.

The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) on Monday said that Lovlina Borgohain's coach has been provided "delegate transport and accommodation" at hotel
The Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist had alleged on Sunday that her coach had been denied entry into the Commonwealth Games (CWG) Village.
BFI stated that it ensured that Sandhya Gurung, who is one of Lovlina's coaches, was at the training camp in Ireland. The federation is closely working with IOA so that Gurung could be a part of the team in Birmingham. 
BFI further explained that only 33% of the playing contingent is allowed as support staff which in BFI’s case for the 12 boxers stands to be 4 support staff including coaches, who were to travel with the team to Burmingham. However, with IOA’s help the number of support staff went up from 4 to 8 for the entire contingent of 12 boxers.
Lovlina on Sunday took to Twitter and wrote about the mental harrasment she had been subjected to. The boxer wrote that the coaches who helped her win the Olympic medal were removed which hindered her training process. 'Due to this my last World Championships was also spoiled but I don't want to spoil my CWG because of this politics,' added Lovlina.

The Indian boxing contingent had reached the Games Village on Sunday night. However, Borgohain's personal coach was denied entry as she didn't have accreditation.
Lovlina on Sunday took to Twitter and wrote about the mental harassment she had been subjected to. The boxer wrote that the coaches who helped her win the Olympic medal were removed which hindered her training process. 'Due to this my last World Championships was also spoiled but I don't want to spoil my CWG because of this politics,' added Lovlina.

The selection committee has also picked 35 athletes for the Arjuna award which is eight more than last year's number of awardees&nbsp;which includes the entire Men'shockey team that won a historic bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.&nbsp;

11 athletes recommended for nation's highest sporting honour Khel Ratna as 35 are named in the Arjuna Award list after a bumper show at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics 

Olympic&nbsp;Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra, who became only the second Indian to win individual gold at the Tokyo Games, silver medal-winning wrestler Ravi Dahiya were recommended for the Khel Ratna as an unprecedented 11 athletes were named for the country's highest sporting honour.
The list includes Boxer Lovlina Borgohain&nbsp;who won a bronze at the Tokyo Olympics, seasoned hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh and cricketer Mithali Raj were also recommended for the Major Dhyanchand Khel Ratna by the selection committee.
National football captain&nbsp;Sunil Chhetri&nbsp;also features on the list and becomes the first footballer to be selected for the honour.
Paralympic Shooter Avani Lekhara and Manish Narwal, javelin thrower Sumit Antil and shuttlers Pramod Bhagat and Krishna Nagar, who all won a gold each at the Tokyo Paralympics are also on the list of those&nbsp;recommended for the Khel Ratna.
The selection committee has also picked 35 athletes for the Arjuna award which is eight more than last year's number of awardees&nbsp;which includes the entire Men's hockey team that won a historic bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.&nbsp;
