Actor Mahesh Babu has been chosen to voice Mufasa in the Telugu version of Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King. The film, directed by Barry Jenkins, will be released in India on December 20 in four languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Mahesh Babu expressed his excitement about the role, saying, 'I have always admired Disney&rsquo;s blockbuster legacy of entertainment and timeless storytelling; the character of Mufasa appeals to me not only as a loving father guiding his son but as the supreme king of the jungle taking care of his clan. My family means everything to me, and this collaboration with Disney is personally very special as it is an experience I will cherish with my children! I am looking forward to when my family as well as my fans will be watching Mufasa: The Lion King in Telugu on the big screen on 20th December.'
<h3>Telugu version will also feature additional members</h3>
Telugu version of the film will feature Brahmanandam as the voice of Pumbaa and Ali as Timon. Trailer for the Telugu version will be released on August 26. The movie will use a mix of live-action and CGI to bring both new and familiar characters to life.
<h3>All about Hindi version of 'Mufasa: The Lion King'</h3>
Shah Rukh Khan will voice Mufasa in the Hindi version. His sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan will voice Simba and young Mufasa, respectively. This will be AbRam&rsquo;s first time voicing a character, while Aryan has previously voiced Simba in the Hindi version of 'The Lion King' from 2019.
English version of the film features voices from Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka, Tiffany Boone as Sarabi, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.
