&nbsp;The National Investigation Agency (NIA) probing the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case has detained a man from Ballari district, sources said on Wednesday.
The man is said to have &ldquo;some resemblance&rdquo; with the prime suspect, the sources said.
&ldquo;NIA sleuths are interrogating him to know his whereabouts on March one when the blast took place&rdquo;, they said.
The accused wearing a cap and mask placed a low-intensity bomb kept in a backpack in the popular eatery at Brookefield area near Whitefield here that went off injuring nine persons on March one.
 NIA has announced Rs 10 lakh cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the bomber, and also released CCTV pictures and videos of the suspect.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said earlier this week sleuths investigating into the blast have &ldquo;in a way&rdquo; identified the suspect, and efforts are on to nab him.
He had said the investigators are verifying the suspect&rsquo;s identity and are &ldquo;getting closer to him.&rdquo;
&ldquo;Investigations are going on, we are closing in, in a way who the person (the suspect) is has been identified. It has to be confirmed and he has to be nabbed.&rdquo;
On the trail of the suspect, the sleuths investigating the case had visited Tumakuru, Ballari, and Kalaburagi districts.&nbsp;

The Bengaluru police had originally registered the case following the seizure of arms and ammunition in July last year.

The NIA on Tuesday searched 17 locations in seven states in connection with a case related to radicalisation of prisoners by a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist in a Bengaluru prison, a spokesperson of the agency said.
The Bengaluru City Police had originally registered the case following the seizure of arms and ammunition, including seven pistols, four hand grenades, one magazine and 45 live rounds, and four walkie-talkies in July last year.
Five people were initially arrested and their interrogation had led to the arrest of one more, taking the total arrests in the case to six.
The LeT operative and kingpin, T Nasir, who radicalised these five people in the central jail in Bengaluru, is an accused in the case along with Junaid Ahmed, who is at large.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the case in October last year and had conducted searches then, including at Ahmed's house.
The NIA spokesperson said that raids were being carried out at 17 locations in seven states on Tuesday.

The National Investigating Agency (NIA) on Sunday attached the separatist Hurriyat Conference's office in the Rajbagh area here on the orders of a Delhi court in a terror funding case, officials said.
A team of the federal agency arrived at the Hurriyat office and pasted an attachment notice on the building's outer wall, they said "This is to inform all members of the public that the building where the office of All Party Hurriyat Conference is located at Rajbagh and is owned jointly by Nayeem Ahmad Khan, who is presently facing trial ... has been attached by the court order dated 27th January 2023 by Special NIA Court Patiala House, New Delhi," the notice read.
The Hurriyat Conference is an amalgam of 26 separatist outfits and was formed in 1993.
The office has remained closed since August 2019 following a crackdown on separatist groups by the government.
The Hurriyat Conference-led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said the attachment of the amalgam's office will not detach people from their desire for a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue.
"Those in command and control of Jammu and Kashmir should know that the sentiment and desire to see the resolution of the Kashmir conflict and to live in fearless peace, is embedded in the people of Jammu and Kashmir... Attaching buildings of stone and mortar will not detach people from their sentiment. They will continue to seek a peaceful resolution," the amalgam said in a statement. The NIA said the two wanted to "strike terror among the masses across the country" through the gruesome act. 
Officials said the agency is looking into the role of "local self-radicalised gangs" and their possible international linkages even as preliminary probe suggests that more people could be involved in the conspiracy to murder Teli.
The NIA officials said the two became members of Pakistan-based Sunni Islamic organisation Dawat-e-Islami via a mobile application and one of them was in touch with some people in Pakistan. They, however, said it was too early to draw conclusions yet.
A team of around 10 NIA personnel, led by an inspector general-rank officer, is camping in Udaipur to take the probe forward.
The Karachi-based Dawat-e-Islami website says it is a "global non-political Islamic organisation working for the propagation of the Quran and Sunnah throughout the globe" and that it was established in 1981.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids on associates of Dawood Ibrahim in different parts of Mumbai on Monday. The raids are in connection to a case registered by the investigating agency in February against Ibrahim for his alleged involvement in terror acts and organised crime in India. 
Western suburbs including Bandra, Santacruz, Borivali, Goregaon and areas of South Mumbai starting from Parel to Bhendi Bazaar and Nagpada were raided. Drug traffickers, sharpshooters, real estate agents associated with Ibrahim's company were the main targets of the raid. 
'Several hawala operators and drug peddlers were associated with Ibrahim and the NIA had registered (a case) in this regard in February. Raids began today,' a statement from the federal agency was cited by ANI. The FIR invokes the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
This is the same case in which Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate based on the NIA’s case.

According to the remand report of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) that was submitted in court, the investigating body said, it appears that former assistant police inspector Sachin Waze drove the white vehicle that escorted the SUV with explosives near the residence of Mukesh Ambani on February 25. The NIA wants to obtain custody of the former Assistant Police Inspector for 12 days in the bomb scare case. The NIA probe in the case has identified Sachin Waze as the person seen on CCTV footage wearing a large kurta and covering his face, a few hours after the Scorpio SUV was parked outside the Ambani residence that day. The Mumbai Police Monday suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Waze following his arrest by the NIA in connection with the recovery of explosives from a car found outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani&rsquo;s home. Investigators have alleged the activists at the Elgar Parishad meet had made inflammatory speeches and provocative statements, which it said triggered violence the next day.

The prime accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case, Swapna Suresh has been admitted to a medical college hospital in Thrissur after she complained of uneasiness and chest pain.&nbsp;Suresh, who is currently lodged at the Viyur jail was shifted to hospital after consulting with the prison doctors.&nbsp;Swapna, who is a former employee of the UAE consulate in the state capital, is among the four accused booked by the NIA&nbsp;in the smuggling of 30 kg of gold through diplomatic baggage which arrived at the Thiruvanathapuram International airport on July 5.

PTI,&nbsp;Thrissur:&nbsp;The prime accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case, Swapna Suresh has been admitted to a medical college hospital here after she complained of uneasiness and chest pain.
Suresh, who is currently lodged at the Viyur jail near here was shifted to the Thrissur Medical College hospital on Monday evening, prison authorities said.
"She complained of uneasiness.. after consulting with the prison doctors, we shifted her to the medical college hospital here.
Adequatepolice protection has been provided to her," a senior prison official told PTI on Tuesday.
Swapna, who is a former employee of the UAE consulate in the state capital, is among the four accused booked by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the smuggling of 30 kg of gold through diplomatic baggage which arrived at the Thiruvanathapuram International airport on July 5.
The gold valued at around Rs 15 crore was seized by the Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate, Kochi.
