NIA files charge-sheet against 8 in Bhima Koregaon case

After arresting 83-year-old human rights activist, Father Stan Swamy in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has now filed a charge-sheet against 8 people. The investigating agency has filed chargesheet against Anand Teltumbde, Gautam Navlakha, Hany Babu, Sagar Gorkhe, Ramesh Gaichor, Jyoti Jagtap, Stan Swamy & Milind Teltumbde.

The case relates to an event of December 31, 2017 in Pune which was followed by violence and arson in Maharashtra that left one person dead. Investigators have alleged the activists at the Elgar Parishad meet had made inflammatory speeches and provocative statements, which it said triggered violence the next day.
