<p>Ryan Fernando took to Instagram and advised his followers to always wash dry fruits before consuming them. The nutritionist advises tossing the dry fruits into some water and shaking it up well at least 3 times to get rid of any dirt, mud or bacteria on them.&nbsp; Washing them properly will remove other contaminants too.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Ryan also revealed that since dry fruits travel from different parts of India to reach your doorstep, they may contain rat urine or may have been infested by cockroaches.</p>

<p>The study was published in the journal Clinical Nutrition and it was found that consumption of about 30 grams of nuts every day can help lower the risk of depression in adults.</p>
<p>For the study, more than 13,500 people, between the ages of 37 and 73, participated in the UK and they did not have a depression diagnosis at the beginning of the study.&nbsp;</p>
<p>They were given unsalted nuts, such as almonds, cashews, and pistachios, salted nuts, roasted nuts, and peanuts. The participants were observed for five years.&nbsp;</p>
