Kaziranga National Park will not open for tourists for now 

Kaziranga National Park in Assam which was scheduled to be opened on the 15th of October, will no longer open to tourists for now.&nbsp;

Earlier plans of opening Assam's&nbsp;Kaziranga National Park on the 15th of October have been halted due to the flood situation.
Assam minister&nbsp;Parimal Suklabaidya&nbsp;said that a new date for the opening of the national park to tourists will be announced once flood waters recede and the situation improves.
This year's rainfall in the region submerged almost 85% of the park underwater.&nbsp;

Kevin Pietersen’s Docu on Assam Rhinos to Air  on Sept 22

England&rsquo;s cricketer Kevin Pietersen&rsquo;s documentary focusing on rhino conversation - 'Save This Rhino &ndash; will be airing on the National Geographic Channel on September 22 at 9 PM. Assam's Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya today took to Twitter to inform about the long-awaited documentary's premiere. The minister shared the trailer of the documentary on his twitter. The former England captain who is also a nature lover, had visited Kaziranaga earlier this year and shot extensively for the documentary. He had also lauded the conservation efforts &mdash; by people and dogs &mdash; at the Kaziranga National Park in Assam. He had also filmed the anti-poaching services of sniffer dogs at Kaziranga and the activities of the Central Wildlife Rescue Centre (CWRC) at Panbari.
