Thirty-four opposition members were suspended from the Lok Sabha on Monday, including Congress leader in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, DMK MPs T R Baalu and Dayanidhi Maran, and TMC's Saugata Roy for disrupting the proceedings.
While 31 of them were suspended for the remainder of the Winter Session, three were suspended pending the report of the Privileges Committee.
The three -- K Jayakumar, Vijay Vasanth and Abdul Khaleque -- had climbed on the Speaker's podium to raise slogans.
After being named by the Chair, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi moved a motion regarding the suspension and it was adopted by a voice vote.
The House was then adjourned for the day.&nbsp;

The Congress on Monday said Parliament is getting adjourned repeatedly as Home Minister Amit Shah "refuses" to make a statement on the Lok Sabha security breach issue which is his duty and responsibility.
Soon after both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 2 PM, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to a leading newspaper on the very serious December 13 security breach in the Lok Sabha and the Home Minister spoke to a TV channel on the issue while Parliament is in session.
"INDIA parties are demanding a statement from the Home Minister in both Houses on the shocking incidents. It is a simple, straightforward and legitimate demand," Ramesh said.
But the Home Minister refuses to make a statement which is his duty and responsibility, he said.
"This is why Parliament is getting adjourned repeatedly," Ramesh added.
In an interview with the Hindi daily 'Dainik Jagran', Prime Minister Modi said probe agencies are investigating the security breach incident and taking stringent measures, noting that it is equally necessary to go to the root of people behind it and their motives.
The newspaper said he described the breach as painful and a matter of concern.
"Efforts should also be made to look for a solution with collective spirit. Everyone should avoid squabbling over such an issue," he said.
Two people jumped from the visitors' gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber on December 13, with opposition parties, demanding a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Some members have also sought Shah's resignation.
The government has insisted that the security in Parliament complex is the responsibility of the Lok Sabha secretariat and it has been following the Speaker's directives.
It has also cited numerous such violations in the past, accusing the opposition of politicising the issue.

Those suspended have been identified as Rampal, Arvind, Vir Das, Ganesh, Anil, Pradeep, Vimitt and Narendra.
In a major security breach on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack on Wednesday, two persons -- Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D -- jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour, released yellow gas from canisters and shouted slogans before being overpowered by the MPs.

The members of Lok Sabha were moved to safety. The incident comes on the anniversary of 2001 Parliament attack.

The two intruders jumped from public gallery number four at around 1 pm when the Zero hour was in progress.They also shouted slogans like 'tanashahi nahi chalegi' (dictatorship will not be allowed).
Outside the Parliament also, two persons, including a woman, were detained for protesting using cans that released colour smoke, police said.
Narrating the LS incident, Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said,"One person was seen leaping over the benches of the Lok Sabha while another was seen dangling from the public gallery spraying some tear gas when Zero Hour was in progress." They were overpowered by the Lok Sabha members and the watch and ward staff.
BJP member Rajendra Agrawal, who was in the chair, adjourned the proceedings till 2 pm.
"This is certainly a security breach because today we observed the death anniversary of people who sacrificed their lives in the 2001 (Parliament attack)," Chowdhury said.
In a post on X, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said, "Saw two young men unleash foul smelling yellow coloured gas from canisters inside Parliament gallery. MPs rushed to grab these men. One person was raising some slogans. This raises serious questions on another aspect of the new Parliament building- security." The two persons, detained for the protest outside the Parliament are identified as---identified as Neelam (42) and Amol Shinde (25), police officials said, adding that further probe is underway.
Security has been beefed up in the area following the incident.
Terrorists of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed outfits attacked the Parliament complex on this day in 2001, killing nine people.

There will be no winter session of Parliament this time because of the coronavirus outbreak, the government has said. According to an NDTV report, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has said that all parties favour scrapping the session to avoid any Covid spread and jump straight to the Budget session in January. Joshi confirmed this in a letter responding to Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary's demand for a session to discuss controversial new farm laws that are at the core of massive farmer protests on highways near Delhi.
