The actor had gained weight during the release of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, but soon after with commitment and determination, he lost all the extra weight without any exercise or medications.&nbsp;

In an interview with Curly Tales, the actor revealed that he lost all the weight without surgery, medications and exercise. He re-shared the clip on Twitter and revealed how he lost weight without following an exercise routine. He wrote, "Intermittent fasting, heavy chewing of food 45-60 times (drink your food and chew your water).. last meal at 6.45 pm. Only cooked food -nothing raw at all post 3 pm.. early morning long walks and early night deep sleep (no screen time 90 min before bed)&hellip; plenty of fluids.. lots of green vegetables and food that is easily metabolised by your body and healthy. Nothing processed at all."

The actor pours his soul to leave his distinct mark as Vedha.
The conversation between Vikram (Saif) and Vedha (Hrithik) is casual and impactful. Thankfully, the dialogues are not ‘filmy’ and help to further cement the storyline. The camaraderie, though, is unmissable.Hrithik Roshan’s performance further stabilizes the script. He is the soul of the film, although there is scope for improvement in diction consistency. Saif Ali Khan portrayed Vikram with utmost dedication.  Saif has always performed characters with grey shades with utmost brilliance, and that perception in the minds of the audience triggers inertia to accept him in the role of a righteous officer.
Rohit Sharaf is seen essaying the role of Vedha's brother. He does justice to what is offered. Sharib Hashmi is brilliant and fits in seamlessly. The script doesn’t offer Radhika Apte a role suiting her calibre but she manages to etch her name to the scenes offered.
Extra points to Pushkar and Gayatri for writing and directing it without burdening the script with unnecessary masala. The action scenes are a visual treat. The length of the film is one of its biggest drawbacks but the storyline and performances manage to keep the audience engaged.
For those who haven’t watched the original featuring R Madhavan (Vikram) and Vijay Sethupathi (Vedha), the Hindi remake makes for a good watch. For those who have relished the original Tamil film, there is hardly any incentive offered by the film but to overcome the perils of reading the subtitles. However, since mushrooming of OTT platforms, films like Vikram Vedha have performed far better on the platforms than on screens. Hopefully, Vikram Vedha would be able to surmount this challenge.

<h3>Casting R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi as Vikram and Vedha</h3>
Pushkar and Gayatri initially wrote the film without having a cast in their minds. But after finishing the script, they felt Vijay Sethupathi was perfect for Vedha. Later, while narrating the script to the actor, the duo realised how similar he is to Vedha, in terms of walking style and mannerisms. Similarly, Pushkar and Gayatri wanted Madhavan to play Vikram, as there is righteousness in the role which only, he could pull off.

The writer said that when they got the news that 'Rocketry' had been selected for Cannes, they had mixed emotions—they were nervous, excited, and shocked all at once. Sukhmani, who has been a part of the team of writers, is overjoyed. The writer said that when they got the news that 'Rocketry'&nbsp;had been selected for Cannes, they had mixed emotions&mdash;they were nervous, excited, and shocked all at once. It was a beautiful moment nevertheless. She recalled that Madhavan called her and she responded, in surprise, to him, that it was&nbsp;a dream come true.
Sukhmani&nbsp;went on to say that the response to the film has been great and she was super nervous while flying to Cannes. The film is Madhavan's brainchild, and she is&nbsp;a small part of the team, but still feels privileged to have her project at Cannes.
'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, who was a former scientist and aerospace engineer of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). He was accused of espionage. 'Laal Singh Chaddha', starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, has witnessed an underwhelming response at the box office. It has failed to surpass the ₹50 crore mark within the first six days of its release. The Advait Chandan film has been in the news over the last few weeks as a section of social media users called for its boycott of Aamir's 2015 statement on 'growing intolerance' in India. Now, R Madhavan has reacted to the latest boycott trend and the comparative success of films from the south.
During the teaser launch of his upcoming film 'Dhokha - Round D Corner' in Mumbai, the actor was asked to comment on the disappointing performance of the recent big-ticket Hindi films, including 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. To which, he responded that nobody starts off thinking that they're making a wrong film. He said the intent, hard work behind the film is just as intense as with every film that an actor works on or doesn't. 
He further stated that the perception that south films are outperforming Hindi movies is wrong as only a handful of films have done well. 
'As far as south films are concerned, Baahubali 1, Baahubali 2, RRR, Pushpa, KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2 are the only south Indian films that have done better than movies of Hindi film actors. It is only six films, we can't call it a pattern. If good films come, they'll work,' he said. 
Madhvan believes that if good content is given to the audience, they will go and watch films in theatres, regardless of the language. He said Hindi films have failed to create magic in theatres as the preferences of audience has changed in the post-pandemic era. 
'Post COVID-19, people's liking and preferences have changed... So if we make the kind of films that people will watch, with the kind of films that are coming today, we'll have to become a little bit more progressive,' he said.
Madhavan's 'Dhokha – Round D Corner', directed by Kookie Gulati, will release in theatres on September 23.
