'Ram Setu' and 'Thank God' are the two big Diwali releases and all eyes are now on these films to work their magic at the box office. The first day collections of the films have been shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his social media pages.&nbsp;
The Sidharth Malhotra-Ajay Devgn starrer didn't have a great start at the domestic box office. The family comedy, directed by Indra Kumar, earned ₹8.10 crore on its opening day in India. Whereas '<a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/ram-setu-trailer-akshay-kumar-is-on-a-mission-to-save-ram-setu-in-this-action-adventure-film-1665474323433">Ram Setu</a>', starring Akshay Kumar, received a positive response and earned ₹15.25 crore on day one.&nbsp;
This is Akshay&rsquo;s best opening film of 2022 after 'Bachchhan Paandey', 'Samrat Prithviraj' and 'Raksha Bandhan'. His last film 'Cuttputlli' released on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.&nbsp;
According to a report in boxofficeindia.com, 'Ram Setu's opening numbers are the second best for a Hindi original film in 2022, after Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva', which released in theatres on September 9 in Hindi and many other regional languages. The report further states that the mass circuits in states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and states in central India are responding well to the film.
'Ram Setu' narrates the story of Dr Aryan Kulshreshtha, an archaeologist, who is on a mission to discover and save Ram Setu in just three days. The Abhishek Sharma directorial also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, as an environmentalist named Dr Sandra, and Nushrrat Bharuccha as Professor Gayatri Kulshrestha, Aryan's wife.&nbsp;
'Thank God' is a story of a self-centered man who finds himself in 'Yamlok' after an accident. he is offered to play a game of life by Lord Chitragupta, played by Ajay Devgn.&nbsp;

The plea mentioned that releasing the film in theatres before making it available for viewing on different platforms is an industry practice.

The makers of Akshay Kumar starrer &lsquo;Ram Setu&rsquo; would be relieved as the Delhi High Court has restrained 23 &lsquo;rogue websites&rsquo; from distributing, hosting, streaming, retransmitting, exhibiting and downloading of the forthcoming movie. The court said that piracy has to be curbed and needs to be dealt with a heavy hand.
As per Hindustan Times report, Cape of Good Films, which co-produced &lsquo;<a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/ram-setu-trailer-akshay-kumar-is-on-a-mission-to-save-ram-setu-in-this-action-adventure-film-1665474323433">Ram Setu&rsquo;</a> along with Amazon Prime Video, had listed video sharing websites that are known to offer visitors download links to movies and web series. The plea mentioned that releasing the film in theatres before making it available for viewing on different platforms is an industry practice. But, in order to make illegal gains, websites make copies and make them available for viewing, downloading and communication to the public. This almost clashes with the theatrical release of the film.
The court, in its order, said &lsquo;Looking at the investments made by the plaintiff in the production and promotion of the film as also the exclusive right vested in it under the provisions of the Act, this court prima facie agrees with the plaintiff that if the rogue websites communicate the film in any manner, on any platform, simultaneously with the theatrical release of the film on October 25 or in its close proximity thereafter, it would severely impact the interest of the plaintiff monetarily and will also erode the value of the film.&rsquo;

&lsquo;Ram Setu&rsquo;, starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha, is all set to release in theatres on October 25. On Thursday, the makers unveiled the &lsquo;Jai Shree Ram&rsquo; anthem during promotional event to increase the excitement of fans. Akshay was also present there and he looked very energetic.
Akshay Kumar was seen taking off his shoes before getting on the stage and performing to the song. He looked dapper in a white shirt and blue denims paired with a brown jacket. He also interacted with the audience.

The fantasy-comedy film stars Sidharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn, and Rakul Preet Singh. The Indra Kumar directorial shows how an egoistic real estate broker, who is in huge debts, meets with an accident.
After gaining consciousness, he realizes that he is in heaven. Lord Chitragupt then appears in front of him and offers to play a &lsquo;game of life&rsquo; with him. He is made to realize that he has been leading his life filled with anger, jealousy, delusion and lust.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 25, 2022.
'Ram Setu'
Starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha, the film is about archaeologist Aryan Kulshrestha&rsquo;s mission to discover and save Ram Setu in just three days. He must do so before the evil forces destroy the pillar of India's heritage. The Abhishek Sharma directorial will clash at the box office with &lsquo;Thank God&rsquo;.
'Doctor G'
The comedy drama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh, shows the hilarious struggles of Dr. Uday Gupta, who aspired to specialise in Orthopaedic, but is forced to take an all-female class of Gynaecology. This film released in theatres on October 14 and has received a positive response from the audience as well as the critics.
'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva'
The fantasy action-adventure, written and directed by Ayan Mukerji, is inspired from stories in Hindu mythology. It film follows the journey of Shiva, an orphan, who discovers that he has the power to control fire and a connection to a secret society of guardians - Brahmastra. He attempts to prevent the strongest of all astras from falling into the hands of dark forces. The film will reportedly release on Disney+ Hotstar on October 23.
'Laal Singh Chaddha'
Directed by Advait Chandan, this comedy drama stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles. This film is adapted from Oscar winning Hollywood film &lsquo;Forrest Gump&rsquo; starring Tom Hanks. It narrates the extraordinary journey of a simple man with a disability. He meets many friends along the way as he achieves various milestones in life. The film is now streaming on Netflix.
'Kantara'
This action thriller, written and directed by Rishab Shetty, released in theatres on September and has been receiving amazing reviews. It stars Shetty as a Kambala champion, who clashes with Murali, an upright DRFO officer.

On Sunday, Swamy took to Twitter and accused Hindi cinema of falsifying and misrepresenting facts. He said that he sent Akshay Kumar and 8 others legal notices to teach them 'intellectual property rights'.
As per news agency ANI, Swamy's lawyer Satya Sabarwal in his legal notice said that his client had argued before the Supreme Court in 2007 for the protection and preservation of Ram Setu, &nbsp;and had opposed Sethusamudram Ship Channel Project of the government to demolish it. The order had been stayed by the Supreme Court on grounds that faith and worship is a constitutional imperative.
The notice further read that Swamy recently learnt that a movie, namely Ram Setu, has been filmed. It demands that script/frames related of the forthcoming film are shared with Subramanian Swamy to prevent any falsification or wrong picturisation of facts in the future. To amicably solve the issue, it demanded credit to the BJP leader for his contribution to the Ram Setu case in the opening credits of the film. The petition also states that he should be given the final script and invited to watch the film before its theatrical release.

Taking to social media, Akshay shared a video of himself from the sets wherein he was seen sporting long hair as his look for the movie.
In the video, he spoke about how the vanarsena had made the Ram Setu and thanked his team for making this film.
He revealed that he learned so much during this film that it was like going to school all over again.
The actor then introduced the cast and crew of the film, who can be seen enjoying their last day on the shoot to the fullest.
He also gave a glimpse of the celebrations on the set with Jacqueline and director Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi as they announced the wrap of the movie.
Directed by filmmaker Abhishek Sharma, &lsquo;Ram Setu&rsquo; is reportedly scheduled to release on Diwali this year.
