Sushant Singh Rajput&rsquo;s ex-girlfriend and his &lsquo;Pavitra Rishta&rsquo; co-star, Ankita Lokhande, remembered him and paid her tributes. Ankita shared an unseen picture of the late actor on her Instagram story. In the picture, Sushant can be seen standing with his pet dog, Scotch, which was Sushant&rsquo;s gift to Ankita. Scotch, passed away in February this year. &nbsp;
Sushant and Ankita Lokhande met on the sets of &lsquo;Pavitra Rishta&rsquo;. The late actor proposed to Ankita on a reality show. They dated for a while before parting ways. &nbsp;

Adah Sharma, known for her roles in 'The Kerala Story' and 'Bastar', was rumoured to have bought the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's sea-facing Bandra home last year. Adah has now finally addressed the rumours. For the unversed, Sushant allegedly died by suicide on June 14, 2020.&nbsp;
<h3>'I live in everyone's hearts'</h3>
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Adah Sharma opened up about being repeatedly asked whether she bought the house in which Sushant Singh Rajput used to live. She said, &ldquo;For now, I would just like to say that I live in everyone&rsquo;s hearts. There is a right time to speak. When I went to see the place, I got a little overwhelmed with the media attention. I am a private person. I love being in the public eye for my movies, but I have always been private. I guard my privacy.&rdquo;
The actor also added, "I also thought that it&rsquo;s wrong to talk about someone who is not in this world and who has done such beautiful films. I don&rsquo;t stand for that. He is an actor whom I have great respect for, so I would like to put everything where he has his respect... I don&rsquo;t like people loosely commenting. I didn&rsquo;t like it. I read some comments about him. I mean, you can troll me, but don&rsquo;t troll someone who is not there or doesn&rsquo;t have someone to speak about them. I will speak about where I live materialistically soon, but right now I am living in the hearts of millions of people, rent-free.&rdquo;

Reacting to the post, a Twitter user wrote in the comment section, &ldquo;Dil Bechara is an emotion! I still can never watch it in one go! &lsquo;How can any order be passed in a PIL when a state machinery is already seized of the probe,&rsquo; Aditya Thackeray's lawyer said.

Shiv Sena MLA Aaditya Thackeray has moved the Bombay High Court seeking to be heard before any order is passed in a public interest litigation demanding a CBI probe in connection with the deaths of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian.
In his application filed on October 13, Thackeray said the PIL was not maintainable as a probe in the matter was already on by state machinery.
&lsquo;We have filed an intervention application saying we should be heard before any order is passed. We have said the PIL is not maintainable as the investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput matter is already on by CBI,&rsquo; Thackeray&rsquo;s lawyer said.
&lsquo;How can any order be passed in a PIL when a state machinery is already seized of the probe,&rsquo; he added.
What PIL sought in case
The PIL, filed by the &lsquo;Supreme Court &amp; High Court Litigants Association of India&rsquo; through its president, Rashid Khan Pathan, in September demanded the immediate arrest and custodial interrogation of Thackeray in connection with the &lsquo;mysterious&rsquo; deaths of Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput. It sought a direction to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe Thackeray, a former Maharashtra minister, and for a comprehensive probe report to be submitted.
The PIL has not yet been taken up for hearing by HC.
Sushant and Disha&rsquo;s death details
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in suburban Bandra on June 14, 2020.
Disha Salian, a former manager of Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after falling off the 14th floor of a residential building in suburban Malad. The city police had registered an ADR case.

A relief for Rhea Chakraborty as the Narcotics Control Bureau has decided not to challenge her bail in the drugs case associated with actor Sushant Singh Rajput&rsquo;s death.
 Rhea took to Instagram Stories shortly after NCB&rsquo;s statement to the Supreme Court and shared a video with the caption, &lsquo;Gratitude&rsquo; along with a folded hands emoji.
 According to news agency PTI, Additional Solicitor General S V Raju on July 18 told a bench of Justices A S Bopanna and M M Sundresh that NCB is not challenging the bail but the question of law should be kept open with regard to Section 27-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
 Taking note of the submission by the ASG, SC clarified that the HC judgment shall not be treated as a precedent in any other case.
 &lsquo;Having heard the ASG, at this stage the challenge to the impugned order in so far as grant of bail may not be required. However, the question of law raised is left open to be considered in an appropriate case and as such the judgement may not be treated as precedent in any other case,&rsquo; the bench said.
 Rhea is charged under Section 27-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act which pertains to &lsquo;financing and harbouring illegal drug trafficking&rsquo;.
 She was accused and charged with buying and financing a small quantity of marijuana.
 Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty made her comeback on screen with &lsquo;Roadies 19&rsquo;. She is one of the gang leaders on the show.

In an interview with Showsha, Anurag talked about Abhay and Sushant and said, &lsquo;It&rsquo;s taken me a year-and-a-half of sickness to realise a lot of things. I was so reactive; I would say things. I would say things out of anger, out of reaction, to things I felt perturbed by. It took me time to realise that I&rsquo;m shouting, I&rsquo;m shouting in a room full of people shouting. Nobody&rsquo;s listening to each other, not just to me. So, I tried to reach out to Abhay and I apologised to him, because somebody had told me that he was upset about me speaking publicly about him.&rsquo;

Sushant Singh Rajput managed to win a huge fan following in a short yet noteworthy career. He is best remembered for his work in the then-popular show &lsquo;Pavitra Rishta&rsquo;, in which he played the role of Manav Deshmukh. Sushant was associated with the show from 2009 to 2011. Following this, he bagged a key role in Abhishek Kapoor`s &lsquo;Kai Po Che!&rsquo; in 2013. His performance in the film earned him a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Debut. Over the years, Sushant Singh Rajput went on to appear in several movies. Here&rsquo;s a quick look at how he started his career. Before venturing into acting, Patna-born Sushant enrolled for Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) after scoring an All-India Rank of 7 in its entrance examination in 2003. He dropped out of college in the third year of college to pursue his dreams. Sushant had enrolled himself in Shiamak Davar&rsquo;s classes during his days at the DCE and he soon joined the choreographer and became a background dancer for his troupe. Shweta Singh Kirti, sister of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, reacted to the claims of a hospital staff, who conducted his post-mortem at Mumbai&rsquo;s Cooper Hospital, and requested CBI to conduct a fair probe.

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case is making headlines once again. Two years after the actor was found dead, a staff member from Cooper Hospital, who conducted his post mortem, has alleged that Sushant was murdered. Now, Sushant&rsquo;s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, has reacted to the claims and has requested CBI to look into the matter diligently.
Sharing a report of Times Now on Instragam, she wrote, 'If there is an ounce of truth to this evidence, we urge CBI to really look into it diligently. We have always believed that you guys will do a fair investigation and let us know the truth. Our heart aches to find no closure as ye,' along with hashtag #justiceforsushantsinghrajput.
According to Indian Express report, hospital staff Roopkumar Shaha claimed that the actor had the marks on his neck and it did not look like it was a case of suicide, it appeared that he was murdered. He said there were other marks on his body and it seemed that he had suffered fractures.
He said, 'And as soon as we removed the clothes from the body, we saw that it was Sushant Singh Rajput&lsquo;s body. I have an experience of around 28 years and as I found something different with the marks on his neck, I went to talk to my seniors, who instead told me that they will discuss later.'

More than two-and-a-half years after actor Sushant Singh Rajput died, the case once again led to a controversy in the Maharashtra Assembly.
Leaders of the ruling coalition of BJP and Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena camp on 22 December 2022 staged a demonstration, seeking an investigation.
They demanded an inquiry into Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale's claim that a person with the initials 'AU' had made several phone calls to actor Rhea Chakraborty, who was the girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput.
A day earlier, Shewale, who is part of Shinde's camp, flagged in the Lok Sabha the issue of alleged suicide of Rajput and asked about the status of the CBI's inquiry into his death.
Legislator Pratap Sarnaik, also part of the Shinde camp, said Shewale had claimed there were 44 phone calls from 'AU' to Chakraborty.

In an exclusive interview with Indian Express, he cited the example of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and mentioned how lobby in the industry tried to destroy him.
'It is breaking. Look at what Sushant Singh Rajput went through, or so many other kids go through, so much talent gets crushed because it was somebody&rsquo;s decision, for reasons other than work, to just destroy someone. There is so much power in some people&rsquo;s hands, there is a God complex, which needs to go,&rsquo; he said.
Vivek Oberoi added, 'We can&rsquo;t have too much power in their hand where they can think that they can make or break someone, and ensure that people don&rsquo;t work in this industry again. People have said this to me and they actually believe it. It&rsquo;s our fault as an industry that we&rsquo;ve given that kind of power to them. That pedestal should be given only to talent &mdash; new, old, upcoming, established, that is the most important.'
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he was asked if going public with his relationship with Aishwarya Rai during his early days affected his professional life, to which he replied, 'Not that I am going to answer this question because it's done and dusted.'
'But, for any youth, young talented people who are watching today, just remember one thing in life if you are really focused and committed to your work, and you&rsquo;re giving it your hundred per cent&hellip; my only advice is that see if they can't attack you on your professionalism, if they can&rsquo;t attack you on your talent, if they can&rsquo;t attack you on the work you do, don't give them an opportunity to attack you on something else and shift the focus. Don&rsquo;t do that. That would be a disservice to yourself and to your commitment to your career.' he said.
Vivek briefly dated Aishwarya Rai and they parted ways in 2003. Earlier, he claimed that Salman Khan, Aishwarya&rsquo;s former boyfriend, had threatened him for dating her, which allegedly harmed his career.

The Central Bureau of Investigation had been probing celebrity manager Disha Salian&rsquo;s death in connection with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput case as she briefly worked with him. The investigating agency has now concluded that her death was accidental.
Disha reportedly fell from the 14th floor of Galaxy Regent building at Malad in suburban Mumbai on the intervening night of June 8-9, 2020.
A senior CBI officer told Economic Times that serious allegations were levelled in the matter and claims were made that <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/sushant-singh-rajput-death-case-rhea-chakraborty-and-brother-showik-charged-by-ncb-in-drugs-case-1655958632097">Sushant</a> and her death were linked.
He mentioned that Salian&rsquo;s death has been probed in detail and other than a few chats, which were in connection to a brand-building exercise, nothing more was found between Salian and the late actor. He added that there is nothing to show that her death triggered his suicide.
According to the CBI investigation, Salian had been organising get-togethers at her residence in the run-up to her birthday and the party on June 8th night was part of it. However, that night, Salian had consumed alcohol and lost her balance, and slipped from the parapet of her flat.

Swara Bhasker opened up on the ongoing boycott trend and stated that it's all ‘hyped up’, as people will watch a film if it's good enough to pull them into theatres. The actor said that an example of this is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, led by Alia Bhatt, which is one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films this year despite facing calls for a boycott.
While speaking to Zoom, Swara said, ‘I don’t know how much boycott trends actually affect the business. Alia Bhatt got a lot of negative attention on social media after Sushant (Singh Rajput)’s tragic suicide, which was of course completely unfair — the kind of accusations that were being made about a lot of Bollywood A-Listers. At that time, Sadak 2 had released, it got a lot of boycott calls and negative publicity and it did very badly."
She further mentioned that the same campaigns didn’t work when ‘Gangubai’ came out. Swara added, “Gangubai Kathiawadi, the same conversation started, the same boycott calls, and people still watched it. This boycott business is hyped up, it’s a small group of people who are hatemongers, and are spreading lies about the film industry. Everything else is rubbish, and we have enough evidence to know that they are earning from it. These are paid trends. They used Sushant’s tragedy for their own benefit.”
Currently, the boycott trends are targeting Alia’s next film, ‘Brahmastra’, which co-stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor.

The Narcotics Control Bureau in its draft charges filed in the drug case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death has claimed actor Rhea Chakraborty received multiple deliveries of ganja from the co-accused, including her brother Showik, and these were handed over to Rajput.
The Central anti-drug agency had filed the draft charges last month in the Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Court against 35 accused, the details of which were made available on Tuesday.
As per the draft charges, all the accused entered into criminal conspiracy between March 2020 and December that year with each other or in groups to procure, purchase, sell and distribute drugs in "high society and Bollywood".
It also said the accused had financed drug trafficking and consumed ganja, charas, cocaine and other narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances without valid licence, permit or authorization within the Mumbai Metropolitan region.
Therefore, they have been charged under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, including sections 27 and 27 A (financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders) 28 (punishment for attempts to commit offences), 29 (whoever abets, or is a party to a criminal conspiracy), as per the draft charges.
The draft charges maintained that "accused number 10 Rhea Chakroborty received many deliveries of ganja from accused Samuel Miranda, Showik, Dipesh Sawant and others and handed over those deliveries to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput".
She made payments for those deliveries at the instance of Showik and the late actor between March 2020 and September that year, it added.
As per the draft charges, Rhea's brother Showik was in regular touch with drug peddlers and had received many deliveries from co-accused after placing orders of ganja and hashish/charas. These deliveries were handed over to Rajput.
The filing of draft charges sets the tone for the framing of charges, following which the trial begins. However, before framing of charges, the court will have to first decide on the discharge pleas of the accused.
Until now, four persons, including Kshitij Prasad, former executive producer of Dharmatic Entertainment, have filed for discharge in the case.

The Narcotics Control Bureau in its draft charges filed in the drug case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death has claimed actor Rhea Chakraborty received multiple deliveries of ganja from the co-accused, including her brother Showik, and these were handed over to Rajput.
The Central anti-drug agency had filed the draft charges last month in the Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Court against 35 accused, the details of which were made available on Tuesday.
As per the draft charges, all the accused entered into criminal conspiracy between March 2020 and December that year with each other or in groups to procure, purchase, sell and distribute drugs in "high society and Bollywood".
It also said the accused had financed drug trafficking and consumed ganja, charas, cocaine and other narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances without valid licence, permit or authorization within the Mumbai Metropolitan region.

Therefore, they have been charged under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, including sections 27 and 27 A (financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders) 28 (punishment for attempts to commit offences), 29 (whoever abets, or is a party to a criminal conspiracy), as per the draft charges.
The draft charges maintained that "accused number 10 Rhea Chakroborty received many deliveries of ganja from accused Samuel Miranda, Showik, Dipesh Sawant and others and handed over those deliveries to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput".
She made payments for those deliveries at the instance of Showik and the late actor between March 2020 and September that year, it added.
As per the draft charges, Rhea's brother Showik was in regular touch with drug peddlers and had received many deliveries from co-accused after placing orders of ganja and hashish/charas. These deliveries were handed over to Rajput.
The filing of draft charges sets the tone for the framing of charges, following which the trial begins. However, before framing of charges, the court will have to first decide on the discharge pleas of the accused.
Until now, four persons, including Kshitij Prasad, former executive producer of Dharmatic Entertainment, have filed for discharge in the case.

According to news agency PTI, the Narcotics Control Bureau has filed draft charges against the actor, her brother, and others in a special court in connection with a drugs case linked to Sushant's death.  According to the report, the prosecution has proposed to charge Rhea and Showik for consumption of narcotic substances and for procuring such substances for the late actor. 
Atul Sarpande, the special public prosecutor, said the prosecution maintained charges against all accused as per the chargesheet filed before the court, according to the report. 
As per PTI, Sarpande stated that the court said they will frame charges only after the discharge pleas are decided.
