Cricket Australia confirmed they took the decision to pull out of the series in the UAE after extensive consultation with the Australian Government.
CA said they are committed to growing the game for women and men around the world, including Afghanistan, and that they cannot proceed with the series that's part of the ODI Super League due to restrictions imposed by the Taliban on women&rsquo;s and girls&rsquo; education and employment opportunities.

Taliban official says 9 men lashed in public in Afghanistan

Nine men were lashed in public in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday as punishment for different crimes under the country's new rulers, a Taliban-appointed official said.
The lashings were the latest example of harsh policies imposed by the Taliban since they seized power in the country in August 2021 &mdash; policies that reflect their interpretation of Islamic law or Sharia.
Haji Zaid, a spokesman for the governor's office in southern Kandahar province, said in a tweet that the lashings took place at the sports stadium in the city of Kandahar, the provincial capital.
Each man was lashed between 35 and 39 times in front of Taliban officials, religious clerics, elders, and local people, he said.
Zaid's tweet did not elaborate on the crimes the nine were accused of or provide other details.
Zaid and other Taliban officials in Kandahar could not immediately be reached for more comment.
Last month, the Taliban executed an Afghan convicted of killing another man, the first public execution since the former insurgents returned to power.
The execution was carried out with an assault rifle by the victim's father in western Farah province as hundreds of spectators and many top Taliban officials watched.
No country has officially recognised the new Afghan government under the Taliban, who previously ruled Afghanistan in the late 1990s.

The Taliban dispensation in Afghanistan has reportedly claimed that India will resume work on at least 20 stalled projects in several provinces across the war-torn country.
In June, India re-established its diplomatic presence in Kabul by deploying a "technical team" in its embassy in the Afghan capital.
India withdrew its officials from the embassy after the Taliban seized power in August 2021, following concerns over their security.
In August, Afghanistan's Foreign Ministry said India's diplomatic presence in the country would result in the completion of "unfinished projects" that New Delhi had initiated, as well as the commencement of new ones.

On Tuesday, Afghanistan's Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MUDH) said that Indian charg&eacute;s d'affaires, Bharat Kumar, expressed interest in the improvement of relations and the resumption of stalled projects in the country, according to news portal Tolo News.
Kumar made the remarks during a meeting with the Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Hamdullah Nomani, it said.
According to the MUDH, it is expected that India will resume work on at least 20 projects in several provinces of the country.
&ldquo;Projects they were implementing during the former government but were delayed due political changes or other issues - they are now interested in resuming these projects," Tolo News quoted Mohammad Kamal Afghan, a spokesman for the MUDH as saying.
Economists said the move will facilitate job opportunities and boost development in the country.
&ldquo;The resumption of these projects can also create job opportunities for the people and it can promote people's income and drive Afghanistan out of political isolation,'' Darya Khan Baheer, an economist was quoted as saying in the report.
&ldquo;The restart of these projects will decrease the level of poverty and unemployment,&rdquo; said Nazkamir Ziarmal, another economist.
India has not recognised the new regime in Afghanistan and has been pitching for the formation of a truly inclusive government in Kabul, besides insisting that Afghan soil must not be used for any terrorist activities against any country.
New Delhi has been pitching for providing unimpeded humanitarian aid to Afghanistan to address the unfolding humanitarian crisis in the country.
India extended humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and it has already dispatched several shipments of humanitarian assistance consisting of 20,000 metric tonnes of wheat, 13 tonnes of medicines, 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine and winter clothing, according to the MEA.
These consignments were handed over to the India Gandhi Children Hospital in Kabul and UN agencies including the World Health Organisation and the World Food Programme.
Furthermore, India has also shipped more medical assistance and foodgrains to Afghanistan.

We have a team on the ground in Doha that is responsible for, as appropriate, engaging with the Taliban on our set of interests just as other countries do,” Price added.
The United States will continue to monitor and take steps to increase pressure on the Taliban government to reverse some of its recent decisions in restricting the rights of women and girls, Price explained.

The Taliban acting interior minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, who is on America's most wanted terrorists list, made a rare public appearance on Saturday in Afghanistan.
For the first time, photos showing Sirajuddin Haqqani's face were published by official Taliban government channels. That contrasted with an October appearance, when photos of the influential and reserved figure were blurred.
Haqqani, who heads the dreaded Haqqani Network, was photographed attending the Saturday graduation ceremony of the first class to complete police training since the Taliban assumed control of Afghanistan.
"For your satisfaction and for building your trust... I am appearing in the media in a public meeting with you," he said in a speech at the parade.
The United States has offered a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to his arrest, saying he was responsible for a string of terror attacks.
Sirajuddin Haqqani, who is believed to be in his 40s, is the son of Haqqani Netwrok founder Jalaluddin Haqqani, who died in 2018.
