To mark the joyous occasion of Thalapathy Vijay's 50th birthday, director Venkat Prabhu released his first glimpse from their upcoming film, 'The Greatest of All Time' aka 'GOAT'. The special teaser, named 'The GOAT Bday Shots', sees the actor don an action-packed avatar. Touted as a science fiction action film, 'GOAT' has been written by Venkat. It also stars Prasanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Meenakshi Chaudhry, Sneha, Mohan, Laila and Jayaram in key roles.&nbsp;

It's double the celebrations for Thalapathy fans as the makers of 'GOAT' have released a special teaser of the upcoming film on the actor's 50th birthday. In another double dose of entertainment, fans are overjoyed to learn that the film will see Vijay play a dual role.&nbsp;
The special teaser sees one of Vijay's characters riding a bike and the other one firing shots from the passenger seat as the duo makes waves on the foreign shores while masked goons chase them. The thrilling background music further sets an exhilarating tone, adding to the anticipation of viewers. &ldquo;Happy birthday to THE GOAT @actorvijay na. Love you na,&rdquo; wrote Venkat, sharing the glimpse on X (formerly Twitter).
<h3>Special teaser screened at theatres&nbsp;</h3>
The 50-second clip offering a glimpse into what's about to unfold was also screened at multiple theatres. Fans have now taken to X to share pictures and videos from the screening, which sees the audience going crazy after seeing Vijay on the big screen.&nbsp;
<h3>More about 'GOAT'</h3>
'GOAT' is one of the most ambitious projects of director Venkat. He has used de-ageing technology for one of the characters played by Vijay to make him look younger. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film&rsquo;s music. &nbsp;The lyrical video of the film's first song 'Whistle Podu' was released by the makers in April, &nbsp;and the song 'Chinna Chinna Kangal' is slated for release on Saturday evening.&nbsp;
'The Greatest of All Time' will be released in theatres on September 5.

&lsquo;Thunivu&rsquo; starring Ajith and Manju Warrier is a bank heist thriller directed by H Vinoth. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the film also stars John Kokken and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles.
Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Varisu' is a family drama. It is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. The film also stars Sarathkumar, Shaam, Prabhu, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Samyuktha, Sangeetha Krish and Khushbu.

Thalapathy Vijay's film 'Varisu' has landed in legal trouble as the Animal Welfare Board of India has issued a show cause notice to its producers Venkateswara Creations for using five elephants in the film without seeking permission from officials. They have directed the makers to submit a detailed explanation seeking reasons behind the violations of the law within seven days failing which AWBI will &lsquo;take any or all such action as it may deem to consider proper and necessary for the welfare of the animals.
The statement of the board reads, 'The Board has received a complaint regarding illegal shooting of animals by M/s Venkateswara Creations using Elephants-5 without the pre-shoot permission from the Animal Welfare Board of India in Tamil Film &ldquo;Varisu&rdquo;, which is the violation of Performing Animals (Registration) Rules, 2001 (as amended in 2002). The Board has not received the Pre-shoot application from you for Tamil Film &ldquo;Varisu&rdquo; till date'
The makers of the film are yet to respond to this legal notice.
Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, 'Varisu' is scheduled for the 2023 Pongal release. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna.

Madras High Court has put a stay on single bench judgment which had imposed ₹1 lakh fine on Tamil actor Vijay&nbsp;and&nbsp;passed adverse observations against him for filing a petition challenging the levy of entry tax on his Rolls Royce.&nbsp;
HC issued a stay after the actor told the court that&nbsp;he was not challenging the entry tax demand, and was only challenging the scathing observations in the judgment.&nbsp;

Madras High Court has stayed a payment of ₹1 lakh fine on Tamil actor Vijay&nbsp;for filing a petition challenging the levy of entry tax on his Rolls Royce.&nbsp;
HC issued a stay after the counsel representing the actor said he was ready to pay the entire tax amount, but wanted the &ldquo;uncharitable&rdquo; remarks made by the single judge against the &ldquo;actors community at large&rdquo; to be expunged.&nbsp;
Earlier a judge had said 'these actors portray themselves as champions of social justice, but evade tax and act in a manner that is not in consonance with provisions of the statutes'
