Nepal plane with 22 people, including 4 Indians, on board loses contact with air control

A flight with 22 people, including four Indians and three Japanese nationals, on board, lost contact with the airport authorities in Nepal on Sunday morning.

According to reports the Tara Air's 9 NAET twin-engine aircraft was flying from Pokhara to Jomsom in Nepal and lost contact at 9:55 am.

Chief district officer Netra Prasad Sharma was quoted by ANI as having said that the aircraft was seen over the sky of Jomson in Mustang district and then had diverted to Mount Dhaulagiri after which it didn't come into contact.

Two private helicopters from Mustang and Pokhara have been deployed by the Nepal home ministry and the Nepal Army chopper is also being prepared for search operations, ANI reported Nepal Home Ministry spokesperson Fanindra Mani Pokharel as having said.
