A startling visual from Ukraine's capital city has captured the horror unfolding in the embattled nation. A video tweeted by BNO News showed a building in Kyiv being hit by a missile as Russian forces closed in on the capital, and some advance teams even entered the city.

According to Ukrainian authorities, over 190 citizens have died in the Russian attack so far. A day earlier, the Ukrainian government claimed to have killed 1,000 Russian soldiers.

More visuals emerged of a tower in Kyiv heavily damaged by a missile, but it was unclear whether the two videos showed the same target. Ukrainian authorities claimed that the damaged building, near the Zhuliany airport, was a residential tower. The awful videos showed some floors towards the top of the building destroyed, and smoke still emanating from the ruins.

Pietro Prokopov, a firefighter battling the blaze at the building said, "The residential building was hit between floors 16 and 21. There are heavily damaged flats. We continue looking for injured people, so far, we have found at least 6 injured. There was fire on two floors, about 20 meters squared. 80 people have been evacuated."

Ukraine's foreign minister tweeted the powerful image to once again appeal to the world to act against Russia. Dmytro Kuleba said, "Kyiv, our splendid, peaceful city, survived another night under attacks by Russian ground forces, missiles. One of them has hit a residential apartment in Kyiv. I demand the world: fully isolate Russia, expel ambassadors, oil embargo, ruin its economy. Stop Russian war criminals!"
