Actor Kangana Ranaut, who is gearing up for her forthcoming period drama ‘Emergency’, took a break from her busy schedule and visited Haridwar on April 30. She offered prayers at Dakshin Kali temple and later performed Ganga Aarti at Namami Gange ghat.

During her visit, the actor, who has hinted at contesting the elections in the future, talked about the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha polls and said, ‘There is a lot of curiosity among the people about the elections, but in 2024 the same thing will happen that happened in 2019.’

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 353 seats and swept back to power.

Kangana also reacted to Salman Khan receiving death threats and said that the country is in the safe hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and therefore there is nothing to fear about security.

‘We are actors. Salman Khan has been provided with security by the Centre. He is getting protection from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, then there is nothing to fear. When I was threatened, I was also given security by the government, today the country is in safe hands. We have nothing to worry about,’ she said.

On the work front, besides ‘Emergency’, Kangana Ranaut will also be seen headlining 'Chandramukhi 2', helmed by P Vasu. She also has ‘Tejas’, 'Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda', and 'The Incarnation: Sita' in her kitty.
