Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Kajol, Farhan Akhtar and Ananya Panday gave a shout out to the Women's U-19 team who won their first cricket World Cup on Sunday.

Everyone including celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Kajol, Farhan Akhtar and Ananya Panday gave a shout out to the Women's U-19 team who won their first cricket World Cup on Sunday.

Post the World Cup win, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to congratulate the team. He wrote, ‘INDIA CHAMPIONS !! Women's U-19 world cup champions in cricket .. beat the British hands down .. khatiya khadi kar di .. INDIA.’

Kareena Kapoor reshared a post on Instagram that mentioned the Indian Women’s team’s victory and posted a clapping emoji. Anushka Sharma, who will next be seen in Jhulan Goswami biopic, 'Chakda Xpress’, wrote ‘Way to go Champions.’

Taapsee Pannu, who was seen in cricketer Mithali Raj's biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’ last year, took to Instagram Stories to give a shout out to the winning squad. Sharing a few pictures of the cricket team, she wrote, ‘The smiles on the faces of these young girls is priceless. Congratulations Champions. Let's remember these faces. We won our first World Cup in women history today. And happy birthday captain Shefali Verma. You finally got the well deserved gift. That's the first World Cup for the ladies…And I'm sure there are many more to come…we have just started!’

Kajol also took to her Instagram story and shared a picture of the U-19 Indian Women’s Cricket team and wrote ‘You’ve made us all proud.’

Abhishek Bachchan, Ananya Panday and Farhan Akhtar were among others who congratulated the Indian team.
