Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Thank God’ is making headlines and it's not for the right reasons. The movie is loosely based on Indian mythology. The Indra Kumar directorial features Ajay Devgn as Lord Chitragupt, who calculates everyone's sins and merits after death.

The trailer of the film was released on September 9. It did manage to tickle the funny bones of a few people but did not go well with a certain section of people. According to the reports of Bollywood Hungama, film is being banned by Kuwait Censor Board.

Earlier this week, ‘Thank God’ landed in trouble after a complaint was filed in UP against the cast and director Indra Kumar for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

Mohan Gowda, a spokesperson of the Hindu fringe group, said, ‘Actors were seen mocking Hindu Gods in the trailer. We will never tolerate mockery of Chitragupta and Lord Yama of Hinduism in the name of freedom of expression. Was the censor board sleeping until this trailer was released?’ The group has demanded a ban on the film and warned that they would protest on the streets.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Censor Board has certified the releases of all other movies including the Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol starrer ‘Chup’ .
