Dexter is coming back, with a lot of new kills and hopefully, some closure!

'Dexter' is back and he’s killing again.

Eight years after the original Showtime series wrapped up, actor Michael C Hall returns with a new season of the show, titled 'Dexter: New Blood'.

In the show’s original run, fans got to know why Dexter Morgan became a serial killer, his adoptive father and a questionable therapist created a code by which he could kill, if his victims truly deserved it.

Raised with a misguided notion of how to channel his darkest impulses, Dexter displayed psychopathic tendencies yet had a genuine desire to make real connections and have a so-called regular life.

By the end of the show, he had faked his death, left his son and moved to a remote logging town alone, serving his own form of penance in isolation.

Michael C. Hall says he understands why fans were dissatisfied with the "Dexter" finale in 2013. "It was very open ended and dissatisfying for a lot of people, including some of us in a way," Hall said.

In the sequel, Dexter picks up his old pastime after abstaining for years, and the killing is “a lot wilder". Michael C Hall feels, it is the character’s depth that will bring back viewers to the show.

The series takes place ten years later. Dexter Morgan finds settles into the upstate New York town of Iron Lake, where he becomes local shopkeeper Jim Lindsay.

In the show, he's got his "dark passenger" under control, and is in a relationship with the town's chief of police. But old habits never die as his urges make a comeback after a string of incidents in the area.

'Dexter: New Blood' premieres November 7. Fans in India will be able to stream the show on Voot.
